Metcalfe2010
If every county had every school in the county consolidate into one school who would be the best teams? Obviously Jefferson County would be incredible. Also Fayette and Warren would be very good. What would be your top 5-10? I’m not real familiar with what county schools out east are so I’m sure I left a couple out.
Chet Manley
Kenton and Campbell would have to be up there. Boyle, Pike, Pulaski, Oldham, Johnson, Daviess, and maybe even Franklin would be tough as well. My top 5 would go like this: 1. Jefferson 2. Fayette 3. Kenton 4. Warren 5. Campbell Purely a numbers game. More kids, larger talent pool.
ATLCat
I actually did a study on this last year to some extent For obvious reasons, namely population base: 1. Jefferson (Trinity, X, Male, Central, DeSales, CAL, etc.) 2. Kenton (CovCath, Beechwood, Simon Kenton, etc) 3. Campbell (Highlands, NewCath, etc) 4. Warren (Bowling Green, South Warren, etc) 5. Daviess (Owensboro, OCath, Apollo) 6. Hardin (Etown, Central Hardin, John Hardin, etc) The Counties That Produce A Ton of Success Despite Population Base: 1. Boyle (Danville and Boyle County) 2. Pike (Belfry, Pikeville) 3. Graves (Mayfield and Graves) 4. Greenup (Russell, Raceland, Greenup) 5. Knox (Corbin, Knox Central, Lynn Camp) 6. Pulaski (Somerset, Pulaski, Southwestern) Some of the worst performing Counties based off Population Base translating to success: - Fayette - Boone - Bullitt - Oldham - Franklin
BBN87
Logan County and Russellville combining would've made for a VERY interesting team to follow last season.
UK#1fanisback
Kenton, Campbell and Boone would be loaded. The Double Deuce
Jefferson and Kenton would meet in a lot of State Finals, in my opinion. Boone, Campbell, Fayette and Warren would make deep runs on the regular.

macdon
Logan and Russellville would be tough. A few years ago someone suggested that Logan, Russellville, and Franklin-Simpson consolidate. It got zero traction and never will but that would be an athletic powerhouse.

BBN87
Based on population, one would think that Shelby, Oldham, and Bullitt would also produce very skilled teams if each county merged their high schools, no?
UK#1fanisback
Jefferson. Not even close. Kenton would beat them.
