How much does Franklin-Simpson return next year? That was a sloppy title game on both sides, but they were a BIG team and could prove to be troublesome for anyone in 4A even with the additions from 3A. I think CAL would have beat anyone in the bottom four classes this year, and I expect them, with who they have returning, to be even better next year. I think 3A is CAL's to lose at this point, but maybe the loss of Wright will have a bigger impact than expected.

Brendt Babin is a very nice young back. He's just a sophomore, correct? I, for one, will be happy to see him shipped off to 3A next year.

Terrible black eye on a great season for 3A. Read on WKYT that a Central player was on the Corbin sideline taunting Corbin fans and one Corbin player that refused to shake hands. Punches were thrown between the two players, then that's where the WKYT video picks it up. Hopefully no one was hurt in the chaos.

I saw that. Just didn't know what happened to get it to that point. Shame it happened but at least the coaches got it under control quickly.

Any word on what happened over there?

Roberts v. Hergott was as advertised. Great opening game.

I haven't seen Pikeville before this game so I'll say what I'm sure the Panther faithful have been saying all year. Roberts is fun to watch.

The few throws that he's made today have been very impressive.

Can't discredit the QB there, either. That was an excellent pass, catch, and run.

He'll be missed, JD. Fumble return for a TD just before halftime took the wind out of the sails for the Jumpers in the third quarter. They came back to battle in the 4th but just didn't have enough.

JMO, but I feel it's more embarrassing for all of the people concerned about having to play a football game in the mud. As JD said though, this sort of uproar over the field is exactly what Coach Hines wants.

Beechwood. That game against Somerset was well on its way to a first half running clock. Raceland's win was also impressive though as it was at our place.

Kenton and Campbell would have to be up there. Boyle, Pike, Pulaski, Oldham, Johnson, Daviess, and maybe even Franklin would be tough as well. My top 5 would go like this: 1. Jefferson 2. Fayette 3. Kenton 4. Warren 5. Campbell Purely a numbers game. More kids, larger talent pool.

Poor drainage is partly to blame. They also let it go (and possibly helped it along) over the last couple years in an attempt to force the school board to get them turf. Spoiler, they didn't.

Yeah I looked up from the spike with 1 second left on the clock, but the officials didn't blow the play dead til it was all zeros. Right call to put a second back on, IMO.

I thought I might've just misunderstood the way that penalty should've been enforced, or it wasn't marked off as much as it seemed, but they added 10 yards for a defensive holding call to the end of the play on the Danville pass late, right? Shouldn't that have been either the catch or the hold, or have I just got that wrong? I'm familiar with that white hat, not sure if it was the same crew I'd seen him with in the past. Needless to say, this game was par for the course for him. Seemed they were quick to the flag on those unsportsmanlikes for both teams, as well.

Bartleson for Danville changes this game from a 3-4 TD win for Somerset to the battle that it was. Hats off to that young man.
