Does your football concession profits stay with football or go elsewhere?

How does your school handle the profits from football concession sales? Does it stay with football boosters or earmarked or football needs? Does it go to the school's general fund? Dos it stay in athletics pool of money?

Goes to Football Boosters at Somerset, or at least it did when we were involved a few years ago.

Trinity pays specific sports supporters a flat fee to work (golf, tennis, baseball, cheerleaders, etc). My understanding is whatever profit remains goes to athletics. At the end of the fiscal year (June 30) the athletics funds are cleared to the general fund and the process begins again.

There are some Jefferson County Public Schools who have all money swept into the school's general fund. This tends to make getting volunteers tougher because they do not see the direct benefit of their hours of work for a particular sport.

For Boyle County the Band parents work the concession stand and the band gets everything.

Ashland Band parents run the concession stands and the profits go to the band for uniforms equipment etc.

Last I knew at Central Hardin the band worked concessions and got all money from concessions.

Bardstown's baseball team works the grill and keeps the profits. The marching band and other groups man the concessions and share profits. Football gets nothing.

That is correct the band works and gets all concession generating profits at Central Hardin

I'm not sure about now but at Raceland, all concession $$ always went to the band. Band boosters ran, worked the concessions as well.

Because football parents don't want to run concessions and miss their kids playing. Same with basketball.

Big numbers that can staff the booth and not miss much of their child performing over the course of the year.
