I would think if Lincoln can shut down Rock, then they will shut down a run dominant Garrard. Game may be close, but LC has too many athletes for this Garrard team from what I have heard.

This has to have been an upset. After seeing Mad South vs Lex Cath, I thought this would be a win vs Garrard who had just lost at home to Powell

JW played great last night, but there were 2 games in the tourney. Danville did win the 1st game that put them in the region tourney for the 1st time in a while. Im sure if Danville wins last night Warren is w/o doubt on it. Who would have been left off for Boyle, if they had lost?

No sense in that at all. Im not sure there is a basketball region in the state where 2 region opponents are 2 hours apart

There is absolutely no reason why some schools will be traveling over 120 miles one way for district games (multiple times), even in a 6 class system. The person who put this together needs some geography lessons in many areas. Obviously there will still be some outliers, but why would you not set it up where travel is the most minimal possible across the board. Also, you cant just look at the map and make plans as if people travel as the crow flies.

I know Boone County schools are not the only one's in this boat, but the last sentence says all you need to know about what sport's have to deal with in that system.

Its not just about football. What are the percentages of kids playing anything today compared to the days of old. How many kids ride bikes, climb trees, or work manually in a real job that will give them some grit. How many quit when adversity strikes rather than be a part of the solution. There are tons of things that can be pointed at in our soft society of walking around with only one hand available, because the other has a cell phone in it. I dont blame kids at all. We all know where the blame is. I will close with "If it was good enough for my father, then it is good enough for me and it will be good enough for my son."

Food for thought...Over the past 25+ years the All A has awarded over $2,000,000 in scholarship money to small school students in the commonwealth. I would estimate that gate receipts would easily exceed $200,000 for the event. It definitely felt like a state tournament

Doug West from Garrard County graduated '92 went to UK as a walk on.
