George Rogers Clark 81 Harlan 63 (Sweet Sixteen 1st Round)
Glad that Jordan Brock was able to finish her HS career playing at the state tourney. Obviously bitter sweet (after losing key players at the beginning of the season), Harlan played in 4 consecutive region finals and the last 2 sweet 16 tourneys. Considering the size of the school, that is a heck of a run. Coming into tonight the game had to be played in the 50's to low 60's for Harlan to have a real shot. Down 51 to 39 Harlan cut it to 53-47 and then GRC length and athleticism took over. Great job by GRC and good luck moving forward vs Mercer. As for Jordan Brock, she is worth the price of admission. Im looking forward to her yearly visits to EKU while she plays for Tenn Tech

How have transfers effected you area, and how will Charter Schools effect it
On another note, the 12th region boys winner had 2 transfers from across town. One of them averaged 25 points this year.

Heard that on the radio yesterday afternoon. Kind of surprised the Tebow bill has taken this long to come to a head in the bluegrass

I agree, and the player should be treated as everyone else. Kids don't transfer kids...Parents transfer kids

How have transfers effected you area, and how will Charter Schools effect it
Some transfers have to happen, while others are ego , grass greener, championship seeking (see this a bunch), aau mentality (remember Rose Hill), one and done driven, psycho parent (lonzo Ball's dad comes to mind) driven. The khsaa is in a no win situation usually with their rulings (litigation pending etc.) Parents are trying to do what is best for their kid is used a lot. Not sure I see this getting anything but worse. I long for the days of "sense of community" and the willingness to overcome adversity rather than some of the alternatives that have been manufactured.
