I always cringe @ scores like this in the Sweet 16.

 

Especially from teams that win 30+ games & then get blown out.

Wow! There are big discrepancies in talent level in some of these regions in some years. Of course, the 5th is usually strong with teams such as Elizabethtown and Marion being state powers in the past.

Nelson Co. was a much better team than they showed today. They couldn't overcome the tough start, and getting two starters in foul trouble early compounded things.

Yeah, I was very impressed by them. They have a lot of ways to beat you. They were a tough matchup for NC with their guards hitting early from outside. NC couldn't hit shots and couldn't set up their press to be effective.

To put it in perspective, last year Assumption lost to Harlan on a last second 18 footer. Assumption was probably the 6th-7th best team in the 7th Region last year, and Harlan won the 13th Region. Very frustrating when the talent and level of teams is that skewered.

Nelson lost just as bad to Scott County earlier this year. They simply weren't nearly as good as their record
