Trinity has always dominated posts on this sight and this year is no different. X posters have always been minority and have little to discuss at this point. Enjoy your run to national title. X will be just fine. I am glad you are still SO concerned with our little Catholic school on Poplar Level.

Trinity has it going with the two main sports. The level of athlete they are getting is different than even couple years ago. Interesting to see what happens after this Jr class. If Trinity wins 7th region in basketball the private vs public debate will be elevated for sure. No one has cared as much about Trinity dominating 6a football but basketball is another story should they start a run of Sweet Sixteen's. Back to thread, Trinity by 21 pts.

Wow, any chance Trinity could schedule an Alabama or FL power instead of smoking everyone in 6A playoffs this year? I understand this is not possible but would be fun to see them play someone from Miami or Hoover/Pratville next year.

Not this year or next with Trinity. The last two years Trinity has a whole new level of athletes and direction for football and basketball. 6a ("X") will do what it can to keep it close. Go Tigers

Trinity still has the great catholic school kids of the past but have added in a few more superstars, especially in the Jr class. If a KY school stays within 14-21pts the next couple years I would be suprised. Their schedule will be fun to watch this year.

Better question should be when will next KY team beat Trinity or X for that matter?

Very good points about he change in demographics for various reasons, for whatever reason Trinity has won the battle of talent lately. Glaser can and will win again, how soon you all forget last year. Prior to that Trinity made one or two plays and X didn't to win games over X from 2000-2008. Bottom line, you must make plays to win and Beatty's teams have done it more frequently.

No, we just have more difficultly loading up and they go elsewhere. I am not saying one way is right or wrong but X and Trinity have different views.

Not what a meant at all but nice try. The make up of this series is different than the 80's and 90's when it was a rivialry of Catholic boys vs now who can load up.

In my opinion the X Trininty game as changed since the 80' and 90's. It is no longer mainly Catholic boys playing Catholic boys. One school has changed the complexion of the game into who can load up. I am not sure we are comparing apples to apples anymore. I am not saying who's correct just different ways of building a team and yes they both have added to the non Catholic mix. Go Tigers

Trinity has more talent than X now and for a couple years to come. We will need to change some things scheme wise without compromising standards. Go Tigers

Tigers must keep it close by establishing the run or it will be tough to stay close. At this time Trinity has better players and unless X changes a few things it will be that way for a couple years. I for one like the way the way it is and not sure I feel the need to try and "load up". We can win a few every now and then with our way. Go Tigers

Glaser can be annoying and sometimes full of crap but never as classless as yelling and screaming at an AD. Beatty did nothing to help peoples' perception of him for sure! Not sure even Trinty fans can argue that.. And please don't say Dawkins is not a big piece if the first teams sets. Go Tigers, pull off the upset of the century.

I get this is a football thread but X has done pretty well in titles over the last few years. The better question might be, what didn't we win last year? Glaser or not we will be back.

I get you like beating us but KY 6A football, as of last 6 years, has little excitement if X is down.

Hats off to what Trinity has assembled. X looked lost and far less talented. I hope someone can step in 6a or next 2 years could be ugly and boring in KY.

Good thing Courier had neutral coverage this week; two front page stories on Trinity and Hall story buried Wednesday in back... Could have had story titled Beatty Master of Disguising Attrition, less than 20% retention of players to senior year? Why do so few make it to senior year?

I was looking to see who might have more experience and noticed X has more than double the seniors. Where are the Seniors on Trinity side? Looks like X has close to 40 and Trinity around 16? Seems low considering both schools start with 80-85..

Why does Males coach always look so sad or like he ate a bad apple? Coaching high school should be more fun... Male made the plays and X tightened up with a four point lead but great come back in late third early fourth. Go Tigers

Can we announce to the 30,000+ fans in Sept. that this game does not mean anything and come back in December? Yes, you have beat us and Male by a play in the playoffs and have the rings but please stop disrespecting the rivalry game in Sept and calling it meaningless.

He has said it in both threads and maybe he should know she has beaten T freshman a time or two. We all know how arrogant Saxton is about his b-ball knowledge.

Do you really want that or are you just being classless? Coach B is a great man and I feel lucky to have played for him. He coached me to 2 regional finals and my brother to a sweet 16. Not a bad run in the 90's. I am not happy to see him go like this but am excited for the future. I wish him the best as he finishes is career and appreciate how he coaches the game of life to all his players. Go Tigers.
