One for the ages... they'll be talking about this one for years and years. Now really, why was this game scheduled?

I'm sure this will prepare the tigers for a deep run in the playoffs! Really!

I am sure it was a tune up for Moeller !! Perhaps Doss is similiar.

Glad you are still so concerned with X.

Well somebody has to make posts in the X threads. I've never seen such a lack of BGP participation.

Good point. Just trying to keep the conversation going. "We" wait all year for f-ball season to get here - then nobody wants to "play".

Trinity has always dominated posts on this sight and this year is no different. X posters have always been minority and have little to discuss at this point. Enjoy your run to national title. X will be just fine. I am glad you are still SO concerned with our little Catholic school on Poplar Level.

X posters dominated T posters in 2009.

In all fairness this game does not cry out for posts. A victory this weekend by the Tigers at Moeller will definitely bring out the X faithful!

Trinity played Southern a couple years ago...why ?

It was probably either the playoffs or they were district opponents.

Per Riherds, in 08 the Mighty Rocks scheduled non-district games with Butler, Dunbar and Lafayette (186-12 combined!!). What was Bad-to-the-bone Bob thinking scheduling those games? Southern was a district game.

I appreciate the fact check on that one Bulldogs, I wasn't actually 100% sure.

In the case of Dunbar and Lafayette they were supposed to be the top teams in Lexington at the time. The 08 game with Lafayette was the second part of a home and home series with the Generals, Dunbar (I think) was the same. The reason we scheduled those teams was because most teams in Jefferson county, with a handful of exceptions, wouldn't play us unless they had to. Manual has been the traditional exception and apparently Southern/Butler agreed as well.

I don't seem to think that X has had the same issue with local teams. Either way, we have taken the lead in scheduling out of state opponents mostly because of refusal by local teams to play us.
