  1. If things don't go his way he cries and behaves live a bad 3 year old!!! Congrats to T on the win. If the privates like Desales and T/X keep up these types of victories we will start hearing the Unfair Unfair chants from some....
  2. My question was "Can you please let me know if the LIT is subjective or objective in its selection process? It seems unfair to leave out Waggener and maybe Holy Cross considering their LIT ratings had them in the top 12 in the city." His answer, The top 12 are taken. Neither Waggener nor Holy Cross were ranked among the top 12 in the city. There is no other factor in the process.
  3. Is there any type of formula for the selection process or is it all subjective after the top few teams? I am embarrassed/shocked to see X invited. Trinity received an iffy invite as well. Waggener and/or Holy Cross should have been invited. I believe Waggener was 11th in latest LIT ratings and not invited.... Go Tigers
  4. The bitterness will subside over time. Be proud of you accomplishments and hold your head high. I am still very proud of my school and football program. This event, though huge now, will not define who you are or what you will become. Life will throw you many more hurdles, keep working and enjoy the rest of your senior year. You had a great season. Go Tigers
  5. Let's rehash an old conversation....how long is second fiddle going to be good enough for the Xaverians..they didn't like that we had a new stadium, they built a new one, we have way more state championships...and we own this decade....I know that there have to be those of the X faithful that have to be boiling inside in regards to a school that has half the money, half the property, half the tenure, half the alum...but almost double the championships Glad you understand what high school is all about.:thumb: Congrats to both teams on a great year. Go Tigers
  6. I am so glad no Trinty kid had never done anything wrong. These are kids give them a break. Everything that could go wrong went wrong for us in that game and I thought we held our emotions in check fairly well all things considered. I am ready for a battle for the ages Saturday night. Go Tigers, Finish the job.
  7. 1. Dropped passes. Prone to a couple a game although Have decreased lately. 2. Our offense has been sluggish at times and been bailed out by a big pass play or two that Trinity does not give up very often. 3. Still not a good 3rd and long team. 4. Defense has not played a complete game all year, several blowouts. How will we respond to a couple or more Trinity scores???? 5. Play calling was questionable in 2005 State Game, we stopped running the ball once Curley went down....Must establish the run early and often. 6. Jumping offsides when Trinity mimicks the snap count, ie 2005 and called for against Boone Trinity is well coached and will use our speed against us with Phillips' screens and draws; all he needs is a very small window and he is gone. I refuse to take the bait your guys are offering. I feel we were a couple scores better in 2005 and look what happened....This game will be a battle. Go Tigers
  8. I agree. If you talk to anyone who truely understands football and more importantly closely matched teams, you will find the game will come down to 3-4 plays. Whoever makes the 3-4 bigs plays will be be in the position to win. The T fans are the ones claiming X is a "Favorite". We learned our painfull lesson in 2005 and we were on the wrong side of every big play and other issues. I am looking forward to the atmosphere Saturday night. I hope both teams enjoy the moment and win or lose will create a great memory. Go Tigers
  9. Please give it a rest. Your envy is sickening.
  10. I vividly remember a post from CRocks early this year that the "Rocks are very very good this year...":sssh: This game will be battle to the end. X's great D against T's great O. In the first game this year X scored on 2 big plays; the Duece long run and a 4th down blown coverage. I cannot see T giving up 2 big plays again. Lets just hope we don't have the breaks we got in 2005. T took advantage and upstaged us. Looking for a great contest. Go Tigers.
  11. Rocks will roll tonight. BTW, I want to give props to the T faithfull for the grit Brian showed last night both running and throwing. I felt like I was watching him play at T again. Tronzo was giving him some support as well.:ylsuper: Hopefully we will see you next Saturday. Best of luck for an injury free game.
  12. Congrats to Stein on the record. See you in two weeks (After we take care of Meade) and we will try and bring some D to the game to keep the record from bloomimg out of control.
  13. Simple question; 43-7 and throwing with first string QB is either running it up or sending a message to someone. Impressive win though.
  14. Did HC do something to have Stein in late in the game throwing a TD pass?
  15. Come early and grab a seat on the big side where there are more seats than every stadium except maybe Manual. Go Tigers
  16. I was impressed with our passing game in the second half, there have been times in the past few years where we were not able to change from our core running game. I don't remember any dropped balls. Cov Catholic has a solid team and should make a nice run in November. Get Healthy. Go Tigers
  17. Classy  Best of luck for quick healthy recovery. You can hate X all you want but don't forget high school kids are 14-18 and have poured a ton of sweat, blood and time. It is very tough on them when an injury keeps them out. Thanks for a classy pile on based off of a poor-rumor-filled article by the courier and a jealous administrator. Go Tigers
  18. We all know you never worry about what Glaser does...... I personally think it is tough for X and T to get everyone in and there are always plays that teams run that can come across as "iffy"based on the score. I really don't think either school would really "run it up". Look forward to December.
  19. No one has said it is the best. I was just defending the jabs that continue to be made. I would argue we have the best multi purpose facility in the state. Regardless of what some schools say it is not all about football. However, per the thread I love the tradition that goes with watching a game Manual.
  20. But it is possible that is the most ridiculous question I have seen in a while. There were space and weight issues with the visitors side b/c of a MSD line that borders that side of campus. Nothing we could do about it.
  21. We have all the room we need and people can sit on either side. Have you been to John Hardin or better yet WKU? Both are great places to watch a game and have similiar set ups as X. We have plenty of room for every game except Male. Is it conventional, no, but it is top class. For the record Manual would be my favorite but needs new lighting, restrooms and concessions. I am pretty sure X would still be there if updates had been made or we could have bought it.
  22. I don't buy into these but here they are... #22 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/highschool/rankings #5 http://www.maxpreps.com/FanPages/NationalRankings.mxp/Boys_Varsity_Football_Fall_07-08 #29 http://ssfootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=724088 #23 http://www.prepnation.com/poll/poll.cfm?poll=1&latest=1 December is what matters!!
