  1. Don't forget that Freeman didn't have his best RB today. Williams had 5x as many rush yards as the next RB and was their 4th leading WR. Kelly really didn't develop anybody else at that position. Hopefully next year Freeman will utilize a bit more depth. I'm not going to judge a new HC at all based upon one game with a team he inherited. IMO he starts with a clean slate next year.
  2. I always liked watching games at the Owensboro Sportscenter. I like how the court is below the seating areas so that even if the first few rows you get a somewhat overhead view of the games. Very similar to Owensboro's Rash Stadium for football.
  3. I'd highly recommend this. Probably the best show on TV currently.
  4. I'm currently feeling sick. Headache, congestion, cough, sore throat, borderline fever, and stomach is a bit queasy. Started Thursday evening and got a lot worse yesterday evening, and today I was so tired a barely got out of bed for more than 5 minutes most of the day. Took a test and it was negative. If I still feel bad tomorrow, I'll try to take another test. Seems like it's a crapshoot. Healthy people test positive and vice versa.
  5. I a good example would be Kemba Walker. Suppose Kentucky would have won that game, considering what Walker did starting in the Big East tournament through the NCAAs it would be hard to have voted for anyone else to be MVP.
  6. Not everyone who is overweight is so as a result of lifestyle choices. Some medical conditions, such as hypothyroidism for example can lead to obesity.
  7. I think an argument could me made that the transfer portal is more important. These high school kids often are not ready to contribute right away and several of them end up being bust and never make any impact on the field. More often than not, teams using the transfer portal are getting a player who has proven that they can play at the college level and are ready to step in immediately and fill a position of need.
  8. He's actually been right quite a bit on UL stuff. I don't really care for him but I'll give him credit on having good sources.
  9. UK's QBs have rushed for 8 TD in the last two meetings. I'd wager that won't ever happen again.
  10. Dude's only won a total of 16 games as a college head coach. Did MSU have an extra $95 million sitting around they didn't need or something? I guess maybe beating Michigan just meant that much.
  11. I don't think Cincinnati was going to lose that day regardless, but you could make a case to soften the effects of that loss by the fact that Notre Dame's 3rd string QB lead the team in passing attempts that game. (I thought he actually looked pretty good considering the circumstances.) That being said I don't think Notre Dame should be included in the playoffs. They really haven't had a good win all seasons. Their opponents excluding Cincinnati are a combined 52-56 on the season.
  12. Owensboro has a pretty darn good defense, and Humpheys threw for 368 yards and 4 TD and added 2 more TD rushing against them. He can play well against good teams. I wasn't at the game but it sounds like his OL just didn't give him enough time last night.
  13. I have been cooking both the last several years, but I prefer the ham. I baste it pretty liberally with a brown sugar and honey glaze. You can't beat it.
  14. Top 25 make the list. He didn't say they would make the playoffs.
  15. I've lived in Owensboro my whole life and don't recall hearing about armadillo's here until this year. I've seen one on a ring video (posted of Facebook) a week or two ago and there was a dead one down towards the mall on Frederica St. around that same time.
  16. I hate that for Vitale and wish him the best in his recovery, but he would have been insufferable talking about Coach K during that game.
  17. Who knows if it is true or not, but I'm seeing reports on Twitter that about 30 of the UF players were battling the flu.
  18. I can respect that. I still think McDonalds fries at there best are superior. They don’t need all that seasoning to be amazing.
  19. I was late to get into this but me and the wife binged watched all three seasons in about a month. I really enjoy the western setting, makes me want to visit Montana, think I'll fly though and avoid the train station. Rip is my favorite character. Besides Ryan Bingham, the show has featured a lot of really great country music from artist who don't typically get any radio airplay. That's my favorite music by far. Some of the other artist featured have been Whiskey Myers, Blackberry Smoke, Cody Jinks, Whitey Morgan and the 78's, Casey Donahew Band, Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Turnpike Troubadours, Zach Bryan, etc. The fact that this show has been so popular has been great exposure for these artist. Can't wait to see who they feature in season 4.
  20. Where could Mintz really go. He's already played in 120+ games over four full seasons. If he were to stay til Christmas would he even be eligible anywhere else. He's already 23 years old if anything if he were to leave at this point I'd have to think it would be to go ahead and try his luck overseas. He's not going to play in the NBA. Ray Harper used to take D1 transfers with half a semester of eligibility left back when he was at KWC, but I can't think that is very common and if he were going to drop to D2 he might as well go somewhere that he can get paid.
  21. I'm a big fan of Hasselback potatoes, but I rarely make them cause they are bit of a pain to prepare. I'd guess I eat fries most often followed by baked potatoes. This would never win a popularity contest but my Grandma's German potato salad is out of this world good.
  22. I guess that's one benefit to losing the war against my scale. ?
  23. Hot McDonalds fires are the absolute best fast food French fry. But they can quickly go to the worst if they are cold. I liked the old Wendy's fries a lot more than the the ones they just moved on from. I've seen that they have new fries again but I've not had those yet. Rally's fires are really good even if a bit cold, and I've had a lot of success with the frozen ones you can get at the grocery store cooked in my air fryer. Arby's curly fries can be good as well if reasonably warm. Burger King fries are trash. I don't care how many times they come out with new and improved fries each time they leave me underwhelmed. At least their onion rings are a edible even if they are probably the worst example of what an onion ring can be. Whataburger fries are decent but I really dig their spicy ketchup so that raises them up a notch. For those that haven't been close to Texas, they will be opening 9 Nashville area stores within the next year. The first of those should be open fairly soon. I'm not a fan of Chick-Fil-A waffle fries. They're ok but if I go there I just get their mac and cheese instead and it's excellent. Five Guys has really good fries, probably better than McDonalds but I don't consider them fast food, at least the ones around here are anything but fast. In-N-Out fries in my opinion are garbage. Maybe worse than Burger King which is a shame because they might have the best burger out there, but again despite having a drive thru it's not exactly fast food, at least not the few times I've been there.
  24. Notre Dame hasn't been that great. Their beating average teams at best. NC moved the ball almost at will on their defense.
