gchs_uk9 Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 In the 12th Region, the nicest gym is probably Pulaski County. Size and viewing angles are terrific. I always liked the standing room area by the concession stands where you can still watch the game. As for most unique in the 12th, it's definitely Somerset. Very old, although recently remodeled, seats elevated and right on the floor. Lots of schools in the area used to have gyms like that (Lancaster, Waynesburg Memorial, etc.) but you don't see it much any more. 1

TheDeuce Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Augusta and Mason County are the two that I've visited that stick out most to me. The one time I've been to Mason County was the 10th Region Final in either 2003 or 2004, can't remember exactly which, but it was bonkers in there. 2 1

I believe Augusta is the oldest high school gymnasium in use in the state. Went to a middle school game there way back. Absolutely need to make it to a high school game at the Panther Den. 2

I want to say it was in Eastern Kentucky somewhere, and I'm totally racking my brain to remember what it was...might have to make a deep dive on Google here sometime this evening.
