The FACT of Highlands beating Cincy St. X who beat Louis. St. X and Trinity, absolutely leaves NO DOUBT who is #1 in Kentucky. You can't talk your way around it or fantisize otherwise. Highlands is #1.

Highlands does what they want in this game. Dale will have 2nd stringers in by 2nd series of the 3rd quar. The Birds are the best in N. Ky, but will have their heads handed to them against St. X. Hope they prove me wrong.:thumb:

Ryle is in a class way above Dixie. They are very good and very big. This will be a good time for their 2nd team to get experience for next year. Ryle names the score.

I can remember Cov. Cath. starting out 0-4 one year, then going on to win state. Lynn Ray was able to get the max out of his team, and I believe he and the new coach is in the process of doing the same. Beechwood is down this year, and IMO won't be able to beat Cov. Cath. It will be interesting to see how the Colonels progress through the rest of the season. Beechwood will score, but won't be able to keep up with Cov. Cath.

:thumb:I agree. Ryle is at a totally different(higher) level, and will improve greatly as the season progresses.

Ryle, IMO, is rated way too low. As the season progresses, they will prove themselves much better than rated.

Good game Birds, but not great. Ryle is a very good team, with some big, big players. They will give Simon Kenton a run for their money. I sat, with a Highlands shirt on and cheering for Highlands, in the middle of the Ryle section with family who has children going to Ryle. Ryle fans were very nice and respectful (no one hit me or threw things at me), and we had good conversations about the teams. Ryle was tough and fought hard. The Birds rose to the occasion and beat a very good team. Highlands pass defense needs some work, but the Birds are progressing well. Mueller will have the Birds ready for battle after a week of working on the short-comings of the Manuel game. Highlands wins this one against a tough Ryle team.

Manual will probably score more than 20 pts. if Highlands has a big lead going into the 4th quarter. Dale will put the reserves in the game to get them playing experience, which may enable Manual to score. The Birds were awesome against Male. We'll find out Friday if Highlands is that good or Male not very strong. GO BIRDS!! :dancingpa
