In the 1A poll, interesting that Beechwood still gets a 1st place vote at 0-2. Bishop Brossart gets votes and Bellevue doesn't?

These polls are very messed up IMO. Weird to people "receiving votes" when they are a bad team, but yet teams who have played well and are undefeated are not receiving any votes.

In 6A, Boone County at #9 seems a bit surprising.

I've said this before. Like last year when Eminence was ranked as highly as they were, it shows how much the voters pay attention to what the teams are actually doing rather than just records and or the "big names."

Marion Co. is 0-2, not 2-0.

Meaning what? Brossart should be getting votes? Bellevue should not? Did Eminence deserve those votes? I seem to recall them getting blasted in the playoffs last year. Explain what you are saying because I am not getting your point.

Yeah the AP poll has Lone Oak at 5 , the Bluegrass preps have them at 8 and if Marion is 0-2 they are ranked at 5 I think?

Ryle, IMO, is rated way too low. As the season progresses, they will prove themselves much better than rated.

Typical AP Poll. Several questionable first place votes scattered throughout. Nice to see Mayfield back in the 1A running though.

Just two years ago Mayfield was #1 through 6 weeks then they imploded. I guess most people think if teams like Bwood or Mayfield aren't in the top 2 or 3 then they have been away. I don't look for an implosion from this bunch. Mayfield is ranked about right at #2 at this point.

Boone has a challenging first 4 game start, Lafayette, Scott Co,Anderson Oh.,Highlands.

No excuses,probably by the time they get past these games this will be a much improved team. I'm not a big believer in rankings, Sk taught me that last year. They have the backfield, just a matter of putting all the pieces together. I do understand your comment.
