Does anyone have any stats or scoring summaries?

Just in from the game. Good hard fought battle by both teams. Fun game to watch.

I said that I'd be surprised if HHS won by more than 3 scores. JC is good. HHS is really good.

I'm too lazy to look it up.

Is 21 the most HHS has given up?

It sure is... HHS gave up 20 twice, to Beechwood and Scott.

Johnson Central gave the Highlands defense fits in the first half. Birds went up 14-0, before the Golden Eagles started grinding out yards. Eagles got a big help on a desperation bomb that was flagged for interference. That gave them the ball inside the 10. They scored. From that point forward though, it was all Bluebirds! Johnson Central's final TD came in the closing seconds, against the reserves.

If they got the ball inside the 10 it couldn't be a bomb. It couldn't have been past the 18.

Am I misunderstanding something?

Did Bardo play much in this game?

Okay, this is what happens when we rely on my memory. It was at like the 30 with 4th and long. The interference gave them 1st and 10 at the 15 or so. I think I have it, at least closer to, right.

I just wanted to say, I watched the game with a gentleman (He's in a wheelchair, if you know him) from Johnson Central, and his father. He was the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. We both cheered on our teams, but we were cordial and complimentary on the good plays for each other's team. It was a pleasure. His dad even moved so I'd have a better seat. Good people.

They called time out with 17 seconds on the clock and scored with 12 seconds left.

If I recall correctly, both teams lost a fumble leading to the other team scoring. I think those were the only turn overs.

Whatever coach Weinrich "suggested" to his D worked. Everything that worked for JC in the first half, didn't work in the second half.

Johnson Central has a nice, physical team, but this game was never really in doubt. 4 quarters was too much for Johnson Central.

Great 2nd half adjustment by birds putting big ole 69 at D-tackle and 53 over nose. Took away the off tackle play in the second half. Entertaining game.

Bardo played very little tonight. Highlands defense adjustments at the half was the difference! Well the kids listening and performing the changes!!

Also pretty sure 29 for the birds had an int.

CONGRATS!!!:dancingpa
