I was surprised by the low roster #s for JC. Did they not dress some kids due to the trip?

The figures I saw were 33 in the upper grades, and ten freshmen.

JC needs to develope a passing game with that running game.

Great job tonight by Coach Matney for not allowing the blowout. You could certainly tell he knew Highlands would hang 50 plus on him if he didn't keep the clock moving midway through the 3rd and all of 4th. His kids played their hearts out. You just knew it was a matter of time when his kids wouldn't be able to play with Highlands down for down in the 2nd half. Great job Birds!!!!! It is always nice to sit around the Thanksgiving dinner table and be thankful for playing football the day after Thanksgiving. Is it Thursday yet!!!!

Yes they were moved to the Cafeteria balcony to call the game. I won't go into details who moved them. Lets just say they were a little too comfy behind Highlands sidelines....

I just want to say how very proud I am of the Golden Eagle coaches and players for coming as far as they have this season, from an 0-4 start to this game. And for the program in general, as far as we have come from what we used to be. Also wanted to commend our fans for showing up and being loud in the biggest game of the year despite the three hour trip.

 

Congrats Bluebirds. You're just as good as we thought you would be. You show us what we need to do to get to where we want to be, which hopefully will be picking up the 2010 version of the trophy you're going to win in Bowling Green this season.

And for the program in general, as far as we have come from what we used to be. Also wanted to commend our fans for showing up and being loud in the biggest game of the year despite the three hour trip.

 

Congrats Bluebirds. You're just as good as we thought you would be. You show us what we need to do to get to where we want to be, which hopefully will be picking up the 2010 version of the trophy you're going to win in Bowling Green this season.

 

Agreed, that was an impressive showing and you could tell your boys were able to feed off of it. :thumb: Looks like your fans were able to get home at a reasonable hour. That had to be one of the fastest games I've seen in a while.

Well lets just say a little "Trust" needs to be built between the 2 teams before we go letting an unfamiliar opposing teams radio broadcast roam the sidelines at DCM. Lets just say we have had some bad experiences on Pine Mountain....I.E. 1996..We are not about to let anybody or anyone determine the outcome of a huge football game other than the players on the field. Heck I would of been more than happy to have the front row in the Millionairs club. It has one of the best vantage points in the stadium...As far as the facilities comment, show us the coal severence tax money and we will show you the facilities that you are so use to. I think it's time to move back to the game. There is plenty of discussion that will surface that happened on that field. A great hard fought game by both teams.

Bigger question is why were they allowed to set up there (behind the HHS bench) in the first place and why with just five minutes before the start of the game did HHS decide to move them?

 

My guess is that the JC crew arrived early and were in the first spot for a while prior to HHS making them move! I am also quite certain that the JC crew just didn't walk in and set themselves up wherever they wanted, without someone from HHS showing them where to setup in the first place!

 

I am sure that some folks in EKy aren't thinking too kindly of how guests are treated not just in Ft. Thomas but in the entire region of NKy and that is indeed a shame as I know better than that, as HHS has always treated CovCath great!

Your fans were the loudest and most supportive I have seen this year. If Johnson Central developes an effective passing game to go along with the powerful running game, it will be extremely hard for anyone to stop them. Good luck in the future (except against Highlands).:thumb:
