Colonels_Wear_Blue
Just for fun, here. Let's see if we can come up with a first team and second team for all-time best players, by position. Colonels_Wear_Blue
Frank Minnifield, Dermontti Dawson, Craig Yeast, David Akers immediately come to mind for me. Jason Dunn, George Adams and Frank LeMaster are a few others. I think Akers is probably the obvious first choice as top kicker, and Dawson has to make the first team as an OL. Colonels_Wear_Blue
Any others from around Somerset/Pulaski County/Corbin, Richmond/Madison County, Danville/Boyle County?
Straitshooter
Danville/Boyle County could make an all-star list on their own that could probably compete with any team. Jacob Tamme, Lamar Dawson come to mind immediately
strongopenyon
These are really difficult. Are we choosing based on players who had the best pro career? Or the best college career? Or....the best players in high school. It could be three totally different list of players.

Jumper_Dad
Allen Sexton TE from Somerset was First team All-State 3 straight years and the leading vote getter his last two years I believe.

charlesw88
If Jacob Tamme isn't on this list then something is wrong.
Rebel
Definitely best high school career. No one can beat Jeff Duggins high school career. 44-0, never lost as a starter and won 3 straight State Titles in the old 4 class system. Seen him take a QB sneak for over 80 yards twice in a game. He could pass, run, and had speed. The only thing he lacked was size, but he made up for that with a heart to win the game!
