Hatz
Lewis Black I absolutely concur!! :thumb: Any man who understands how great Reagan was is worth being prez. He's right, if we would elect a dead president then the terrorists would really know we are as crazy as they are and would leave us alone.

cch5432
Possibly Newt Gingrich for me. According to my father, he is a "twice-divorced slimeball" but I think that I agree with most of his positions that he has stated.
toppop
J. C. Watts of Oklahoma. Great Choice.

cch5432
For anyone who considers themselves a conservative, I'd take a look at Tom Coburn, the junior Senator from Oklahoma. I'd love to vote for him.
HHSDad
How about that Governor of Louisiana? He looks to be the GOP's answer to Obama.
UKMustangFan
How about that Governor of Louisiana? He looks to be the GOP's answer to Obama. I think Jindal will be the Republican nominee in 2012....He does seem like another Obama, only on the right side of the issues.

So far, my list of people I'd want to vote for (in somewhat order): Tom Coburn Bobby Jindal Newt Gingrich Alan Keyes (kind of) I also wouldn't mind Jim Inhofe (Sen-OKLA) or even Fred Thompson. It would be great to live in Oklahoma- two outstanding Senators, and J.C. Watts
cch5432
Add Tim Pawlenty (Governor of Minnesota) to my list of possible GOP candidates I can support, he has drawn a lot of flack for his comment about asserting the 10th Amendment is response to some of the federal governments tactics, but I love it: “What I was trying to convey is that we have an important amendment in the U.S. Constitution and we should at least have the discussion. Not seceding from the union, not filing lawsuits, but at least some awareness that the Tenth Amendment exists.”
