Guest
Not at all. I know it is surprising but that is the word going around.
the game guy
The 3 schools that merged were all terrible. Lone Oak had a run when Haskins was there but for most of the time he stole players from Paducah that did not come from the feeder program. 00Rocket28
I'd love to see them land Morris (ain't gonna happen though). He'd pull a lot from Tilghman, Massac, etc. Probably get more in house kids out as well. Their facilities are 2nd to none on this side of the state. sImpleplan
Regarding middle schools games this past fall: McCracken consolidated teams handily beat the Mayfield teams... both of which are consistently strong.

Nathaniel Bryan
Posting these links, since these are the official openings. It is 13.5 thousand per yer (not counting any ranks). No where near Georgia or Texas money. McCracken - MCHS Head Football Coach Job Posting Print
MrKnowNothing
No $13,500 isn't close to the amount that is paid in Georgia, Alabama or Texas.. not even for OC position
MHSCardinal
Now I know why there's such HC turnover in Ky.. I'm surprised any decent HC would stay and coach in Ky when other states offer so much more. Most of these guys have families to think about, so, money is huge factor.. truebluefan89
I think about the only thing keeping a HC in KY is hometown roots- You consider all the most successful coaches in KY and they are coaching in their own back yards. Very few have came in and developed something great.

Very few have came in and developed something great. A lot of truth there. But also the roots they create if not maybe from where they've coached for years. I mention it every year, but you don't see coaches playing leap frog much these days. It's a lot to uproot families for a profession that doesn't offer any real financial significance to do so. Isn't this comment enough to scare applicants away? Aren't you basically saying McCracken County itself doesn't produce enough players to compete and therefore you'll need transfers (dicey proposition; how do you get them?) from the city and Illinois to be successful? They are already pulling kids from other schools. There just maybe more if some like Morris went there.
truebluefan89
Rogers name has been tossed around, is this gaining any traction now?
Rixz23
I hope not!! It's hard enough to compete in 6a , especially running the offence he runs.
