You can confirm it now. Phillip Stockdale will be the next head coach at Central Hardin.

It will be announced today.

There will be a decision by end of this week.

Mattingly didn’t announce his retirement til January 14/15. I think job needed to be posted for 30 days.

I think we ask LC Flyguy. He will be the one to drop the knowledge of the situation.

It is a given that the job is Tyler Jackson.

They have notified the person that got the job. Not sure when they will make a formal announcement.

Yes I think a coach will be named this week. Maybe as soon as tomorrow.

Interviews will begin next week.

I will add Nelson County's Phillip Stockdale to the list as well. First home playoff game in long time after taking over a program with some dismal years.

That was not a JV game. It was a middle school game. And while it may impact a future meeting a little further down the road, it has no bearing on this week's contest.

So they did hire an interim from within? And now two other coaches have quit because of who they hired?

That is very understandable. I have heard several names being mentioned as well.

They will hire an interim coach from the staff. Then open it up after season.

Scrimmages may look a little different this upcoming year.

Maybe the guy was told some stuff by Highlands and they first agreed then could not deliver on what they had told him. I see this as something changed on either end and right now the coach is taking the high road and not putting all of Highlands business out there for other potential coaches. While people want to blast him about it, I think you better look at yourself and realize how much you may change your mind.

They are replacing turf with grass? Or do you mean replacing grass with turf? Turf is going down in the new stadium.

I think Max Chaney is the man for the job at FS.
