WSON radio out of Henderson is reporting Coach Josh Boston has resigned after 9 seasons as head coach of the Colonels. 

I had heard this today as well. I think Coach Boston did a good job at his Alma Mater. 6A Football is a tough business.

I think the 6A play of it being the hard one out of the bunch is a bit overrated, IMO.  Every class now with 6 classes have their group of 4/5 (if even that) usual suspects the majority of years. 80%+ of teams in the state in each class don't have a snowballs chance in you know where year end year out to make any kind of serious run.

HOWEVER, with that said, you are exactly right about Coach Boston....what he did there and moving forward.

There are some buzzards in Henderson, maybe even some of the one's showing up at practices to watch from a far the last couple years that should apply for the job. Instead of them being the pot stirring critics, they should try stepping into the arena...for once..but, they won't.

Is there a coach on the current staff that would have an interest in it?

The right Coach can do a great job at Henderson. We (Owensboro) use to have some battles against them. The last Coach did a great job, but I think when Sadiq Clements and that group left the talent went down some. 

This job is really quiet.

The super is a big football/sports guy. He will make sure a good hire is in place in my personal opinion.

Their super is a GREAT guy and definitely a football guy.  He has a nice resume for himself in coaching.  

Lots of smoke going around that Jason Morris could be the leader in the clubhouse for this job! Other names I’ve heard mentioned are McCrackens Tyler Brooks and Sean Thompson at Tilghman! At the end of the day I think Jason Morris will be the guy!

Does Morris take his brother?

Those are some big names mentioned…why would they jump from programs that have generally had more success??

I understand Brooks because he is from Henderson…

Simple the pay at Henderson is exponentially higher that those places especially in the classroom I think Henderson ranks in the top 3 alone in teacher pay alone not counting what they would make as a coach which I’m certain would be more than they make now!
