What about OOPW? I think for Catholic they need DC to win some games and Apollo to win their games as well. If they don't get to play at Steele Stadium this will be the first time in the RPI era Owensboro Catholic will have to play on the road. That's insane!!!!

I’m not going to take away anything from Apollo or Coach Edge, some years he’s done a pretty good job at Apollo. It’s not a “football school” so to speak, but baseball went to state. There’s got to be some male athletes in the building? I’m not at the Middle school games much but Burns MS is not beating the Owensboro or Owensboro Catholic MS either and they’re losing by a lot according to social media posts. Does that really have an effect on kids when they get to high school? I don’t see any talent coming up from either Burns or College View for Apollo or Daviess Co for that matter.

If we don't beat Madisonville by 40 at Rash we won't go to the championship. They aren't that good.

I didn't know Max Johnson was out. I thought Ross Milburn played hard and was impressive at the QB spot with his runs.

Give me Apollo in a shootout but then vote for Madisonville in the poll. No matter what you don't lose. I like it.

I think we had big expectations because of their offense. I was on here at the beginning of the season that if they can get their defense ready and replace a secondary that every kid signed at a college, they will meet expectations. I think they miss JT Edge, Coach Edge's son and the 2 corners from last year on defense more then anything. Other then that. NO they have not met expectations. IF they can pull off this upset Friday, I know I've said this about Region 1 referees but I've seen Owensboro go down there and struggle, but we have way enough talent then Apollo to overcome bad officiating and sometimes, a few years ago, bad coaching. I hope they can figure it out. @83wildcatFB didn't you vote for Graves to win? So you had to know something.

Wasn't the Boyle/Corbin playoff game officiated by region 1 refs?

This game is at Apollo, right? I think last year they played at Madisonville. I watched the Graves game. They had referees coming from 40 yards away making incomplete calls again. Is this typical in that region? I just remember Apollo playing Murray the exact same thing happens. Regardless, Apollo has an opportunity here being at home. They have to have a good start. Graves should have beaten Madisonville from what I saw on the Graves/Madisonville thread.

He played against Apollo last week. He didn't play RB though. He helped in our secondary last week.

Can Owensboro Catholic get the #1 spot if Beechwood wins out? If so, It will be Belfry at OC and LCA at Beechwood.

Owensboro Catholic travels to Hancock County looking to continue its strong season and keep building momentum heading into the postseason. The Aces will look to control the game with their physical run game and aggressive defense while taking care of business on the road.

Apollo travels to Graves County looking to bounce back after the loss to Owensboro and regain momentum late in the season. Graves County lost a home game to Madisonville and will look to bounce back as well. Graves will test the Eagles physically, but Apollo's WRs are very athletic and Ross Milburn is a tough runner.

Owensboro enters this one with plenty of momentum after a dominant 50-7 win over Apollo, while Marshall County is coming off a 45-7 loss to Muhlenberg. The Red Devils should look to establish control early and use their physicality to win this matchup.

We will get called on this in our playoff games. We won't have our refs.

@Devils Fan one thing we need to change now and or it's going to be a huge problem in the playoffs when we don't have local boys calling our game is the TD celebrations and taunting we got called for last night. It's really embarrassing. I really don't want us losing in the 3rd or 4th round when the game is close. Overall, we beat the hell out a good team last night, but the celebrations are a little over dramatic imo. If our local referees are calling it then it's going to get called later in the playoffs.

Our defense kept Max Johnson moving a lot. He can make plays on his feet but I felt like we were just as fast as him. Apollo got in the red zone 4 times I believe. I'll have to go watch the replay , they still have a very good offense. I've always said this, Rash Stadium is a hard place for teams to come in and win. If Catholic played us at Rash Stadium it wouldn't have been 7-35. I think getting everyone back but Ganaway was huge for us. Biggs has played 2 great weeks so far.

The kid that got ejected is not a huge impact player for us. It hurts us because now the 3rd string DE is playing there.

This game at Graves County is making this game interesting.

I would say the 3rd/4th rounds would look like this in the WEST: LCA at Catholic Mayfield at Somerset Winners play each other Round 4 I think Round 4 in the EAST would look like Belfry vs. Beechwood

I just don't see it happening. It was a humbling experience to watch the Red Devils get embarrassed.

One thing I have heard from some of my guys is that Demarcus Ganaway Jr. is playing. I was told about 4 weeks ago it was a 6-8 week recovery. I still don't think he should play but it makes me feel a lot better about this game. Also Tee Green is playing. I think we are getting healthy. LET'S GO!!!!!
