They already have 3 from OHS Deion Winstead Deron Crowe Xavier Maddox McLean Co Muster Hancock Co. Atwell ( I think he left after Middle School) French kids (Linemen) Henderson Co. ??? Can't remember name

Still don't understand why the Atwell kid from Catholic is not getting offers. I get it this list is loaded with guys that have 10+ offers, but the year this kid had was set apart from other kids on this list.

When are they going to announce?

He is awesome!!!! Do they have anyone backing him up? He carried the ball about 20 times against Bowling Green. If he goes down they lose a lot of offense.

He had some close wins of beating Owensboro in 2020 that I thought were impressive then he gets beat by Apollo in 2020 later in the year. The guy had a great run at a very difficult place to win.

Losing Tutt Carrico, Rhinerson, Sims, Frick, and Blair is a LOT of OFFENSE. Even if Atwell left Catholic has a capable backup in Carrothers. Catholic has run this style of OFFENSE for nearly 20 years. Rumor is they have a couple kids in town that have enrolled.

Catholic loses their main weapon in Tutt Carrico, Noah Rhinerson, and Duece Sims. They lose a ton of their offense. Lose their best linemen in Pride and others (not sure of their names). They are a favorite for sure, but I don't think it's a lock they win the title.

What's going on with this job? Any new details?

Owensboro win vs Warren Central was pretty good. When Central gets a few kids back I would like to see how special that win was for them later in the year. Devils might be a little better then everyone thinks. Catholic plays their first game tomorrow night vs Apollo. Apollo started off great 2-0 then had a BAD loss to Dawson Springs on Tuesday night. How well do they bounce back vs the Aces in their first game back. Daviess Co I’m disappointed in. I thought they would be better with those transfers. We’ll see how well they get back in the win column this weekend.

Going to get rid of the OOWP. That has 30% of the RPI rating. When I see LCA who beat CAL (3-A Champs), BG (5-A champs), and lose to Boyle Co. (possibly the best team in all classes but is the 4-A Champ) and LCA has to go on the road to Mayfield in the 3rd round? Boyle goes on the road in the 4th round? Corbin had to play Boyle in the 3rd round? One 2-A team last didn't make the playoffs and were ranked 4th in the RPI? Yes there are some flaws. I think you have to take out OOWP. That has too much weight.

In most seasons Mayfield and Catholic played each other in the 3rd round in a true “Region Championship”. Most years you didn’t have LCA in the west. But with the new RPI system you have to give Catholic and Mayfield credit. They both took care of their business to get homefield advantage in the playoffs. Catholic running clocked everyone. Mayfield the “Giant Slayer” took down Goliath not once but twice. Having lived in the Purchase area and went to a school that doesn’t exist (Heath High School) and now my son goes to Owensboro. I have seen both schools and let me just say everyone needs to buy their tickets now. Keith Jackson would love to call this one.
