🗞 Johnson And Sandidge Headline Potential Shootout

M-NH 🇶🇦 (6-1, 5A #9) | Ryder Sandidge, the state's third leading rusher, and quarterback Alex Richards spearhead the Maroons, offensively. They've won three straight following the lone setback to Paducah Tilghman.

Apollo 🦅 (3-4) | A season that was once so full of potential has now dipped below .500 following consecutive losses. Johnson's right arm takes aim at Madisonville's defense to stop the bleeding before it becomes a hemorrhage.

✏️ 📖 | Apollo snapped a five game losing streak to the Maroons last year behind Johnson's 319 passing yards and three touchdowns. He and Richards were picked off three times each in a wild 49-40 contest.

Madisonville by at least two touchdowns. Apollo is living up to Apollo standards. Huge hype pre-season, mediocre in-season.

This game is at Apollo, right? I think last year they played at Madisonville. I watched the Graves game. They had referees coming from 40 yards away making incomplete calls again. Is this typical in that region? I just remember Apollo playing Murray the exact same thing happens.

Regardless, Apollo has an opportunity here being at home. They have to have a good start. Graves should have beaten Madisonville from what I saw on the Graves/Madisonville thread.

They're pretty bad across the board. Pay close attention to the regional basketball tournament on the years when 1st region officials rotate the 3rd region. There's always some entertainment for all the wrong reasons.

Wasn't the Boyle/Corbin playoff game officiated by region 1 refs?

You must be a disgruntled former Apollo employee. Only come out to diss Apollo when things don't go their way. Apollo still can win this game, but will need to stop shooting themselves in the foot defensively. Apollo has done a great job slowing down the run, and I do not think Madisonville has the passing game to really hurt Apollo. Give me the Eagles in this one!

This will either lock in the district seeds or leave it up to the RPI. I assuming that's how they do the tiebreaker if 3 teams have the same district record.

I'll take Apollo at home 35-28.

Wouldn't surprise me either way. I keep thinking Apollo here. Give me Apollo in a shootout. 46-41. Stream? I'll be tuning in to this one.

Give me Apollo in a shootout but then vote for Madisonville in the poll. No matter what you don't lose. I like it.

Give me Apollo at home in a shootout. I believe this game will come down to who has the ball last or who wins the turnover battle. Apollo will be able to throw on Madisonville but I don't know if Apollo can stop the run. Graves was able to put up over 400 yards of offense and get enough stops to build a lead. If Apollo can get a two score lead it might keep Madisonville out of the heavy run formations they use which puts things is Apollo favor. No matter what it should be a good one and an Apollo win makes things very interesting again is D1 5A.
