I was impressed by Madisonville tonight, I thought they would win pretty easily but I didn’t expect a 46 point win. I do know it got away at the end and Johnson didn’t play but this game was never in doubt. I will take the Devils but I think that game is close in the 4th.

MNH runs a similar offense to O. Quick passes to their athletes and let them work from there. But I agree they aren’t world beaters that’s why I’m surprised they blew Apollo out of the water like they did. I had a feeling MNH would win but not by running clock fashion. Definitely can’t take MNH lightly.

Actually, I’ve just lived in Owensboro my whole life and watched as the school and its athletic programs have gone in the toilet. They’ve got a great big, nice newly renovated building over there; but if you put cream cheese on a turd it still tastes like poop.

I’m not going to take away anything from Apollo or Coach Edge, some years he’s done a pretty good job at Apollo. It’s not a “football school” so to speak, but baseball went to state. There’s got to be some male athletes in the building?

I’m not at the Middle school games much but Burns MS is not beating the Owensboro or Owensboro Catholic MS either and they’re losing by a lot according to social media posts. Does that really have an effect on kids when they get to high school? I don’t see any talent coming up from either Burns or College View for Apollo or Daviess Co for that matter.

I hate to beat on a teams schedule and I realize MNH scheduled PT but they also have Hopkins Co Central and Warren Central on their schedule that’s two of the worst teams in the state. Look I know every game can’t be against great teams but why not schedule like a Caldwell Co and a Franklin Simpson for example two teams they would still beat but wouldn’t be RPI terrible. I know it’s hard on these coaches to find games sometimes and I think we give them a lot of grief when sometimes they are just trying to fill a schedule but those two games seemed odd for a program that has turned into a pretty good program.
