Birdsfan
The people from up north dont give the colonels much of a chance.(http://www.yappi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122113) However thay do give them the respect they deserve. With CCH and Highlands back to back, Elder and teh GCL will get to see first hand what NKY football is about.I don't think they like y'all too much: Those people on BGP have some real reading comprehension problems. What kind of respect do they want Elder to give them? Say they will lose by 20 points...Those people on BGP are just anti-Ohio morons...

Wildcat
It is tough for the better D1 programs in Ohio to schedule games due to the Harbin Ratings. Most schools in Ohio do not want to schedule St. X, Elder, and Colerain because they don't want those losses to come back and hurt their chances on making the playoffs. So these teams are forced to play out of state teams and the other top programs up state. For the second straight year, Cincy St. X has been rated as having the toughest schedule in the nation. They play two teams ranked in the top 5 of USA Today's Super 25 poll in the first month of the season. And the Harbins are the only way to determine playoff teams in Ohio with 700+ teams playing football. With 8 teams making the playoffs per regions as it has been for awhile now, the schools that have aspirations of winning a state championship need to play the X's, Moellers, & Elders of the world to get better; if they are good enough, they will get in the playoffs. What happens now, X, Elder, & Moeller play the best from all over the country, which results in them being even BETTER prepared for a Div I playoff grind in OH. The best get better, and those who won't play them keep falling farther and farther behind. The same could be said of X & T in KY, although their schedules aren't as challenging as those 4 GCL schools have been for about the last 5 or 6 years! 4A schools need to play X and T and adopt some of their philosophies if they want to beat them and raise the level of their program.
