Multiple Officers Shot During Protest in Texas

Pure guess but

1. News reports on what people complain about - I haven't read/heard complaining on this subject.

2. It's still more white than black.

If you just go on that statement, many more white people are killed by officers than black people.

We should be troubled, right? We should be troubled enough that we force a thorough investigation. I didn't read "not justified" into his comments.

No, but by saying that about these two shooting and none of the others (like the unarmed white teen in California) he is definitely saying that. If these were justified why should we be troubled, by these? Was he troubled when the FBI shot the idiot old white guy in the snow? Was he troubled when the Knox County Deputy shot the unarmed guy walking down the road with a young girl he had kidnapped?

The President is clearly making a distinction by his statements that he feels these were unwarranted and thus that is what is troubling.

Just spitballing here but when he says, "All of us as Americans should be troubled by these shootings," he continued. "These are not isolated incidents, they are symptomatic of a broader set of racial disparities that exist in our criminal justice system."

He is saying that these two shootings were not justified and something must be done, yet he has no idea yet if either of them, one of them or neither of them was a justified shooting yet, nor do we. Would it be too much to ask for their to be some actual findings before weighing in.

Officer deaths from "Gunfire" is up 31% so far this year.

Any increase is too many but the challenge with % increase is no one knows the baseline.

From what I read 42 officers will killed in 2015. 2014 was 51. 2013 was 27.

That's compared to about 135 in 1975 and about 70 in 1984.

Did anyone ask him about the CA shooting? No. They asked about the two everyone is talking about.

Because the POTUS is black and most black people feel the exact same way. Especially after watching all of the normal activities take place after they were both shot and killed.

It is good to see all of the second amendment folks come to their defense seeing as how Louisiana is said to be an open carry state and the Minnesota fella was allegedly reaching for his paperwork to show he was legal. Obviously there is a lot we are missing though. Cops would NEVER shoot an unarmed civilian. And fortunately for us the same DOJ that cleared Hillary Clinton's email scandal will be all over this for us. Sweet.......

Not on a per capita basis. Take young black men as an example. 9x more likely to be killed by an officer than the population as a whole.

Overall in 2015 blacks were killed around 2X rate (per capita) as the other races.

And per capita, an officer is far more likely to be killed by a black male than a white or Hispanic.

Suspects reported to have been wearing bullet proof vests and camouflage along with masks.

This sounds very premeditated.

Shots in rapid succession also reported. Witnesses said shooters were using assault weapons. Per CNN.
