July 13, 201610 yr I read where the suspect wrote the letters rb on the wall in the room he was barricaded in, in his own blood. It seems to be something everyone involved in the investigation is trying to figure out what rb means. They probably already know to be honest, just don't want to say it until they are 100% sure. Just a wild guess, but given the fact that he was making IED's, planned for a more massive scale than what he did in Dallas, the rb may have stood for Rubidium. It is a metal that can be used as an explosive making material, periodic symbol is Rb. Or more likely it was someone's initials. Rubidium is not very stable and would be of little use in an IED.
July 25, 201610 yr Job applications for Dallas PD have tripled since this shooting. That is a very positive sign Clyde. By all accounts the department and it's leadership looked first class.
