  1. Is it looking like Foley?
  2. I got to watch it online. Very entertaining game. That clinches the number one seed in the district for the Briar Jumpers.
  3. I was hoping the series with Somerset would be able to continue. But that's a long drive for each team.
  4. Somerset is really young as well. They only have 1 senior and 1 junior in the normal rotation. Walker is the only senior on the roster.
  5. 7-Beechwood 5-Male 3-Mayfield 2-Corbin 1-Johnson Central Tiebreaker-Beechwood
  6. Was he not on the field for the other 350 yards of offense that they have up. Somerset moved the ball up and down the field. Mayfield has scored 200 more points this season than Somerset. They will move the ball and put up points vs CAL.
  7. So it was an exaggeration to say it was a 10 minute walk then. It was just further than you were happy with.
  8. But I think OR said the seniors finished with 60 wins.
  9. A 10 minute walk? So the locker rooms are a half mile from the field? I don't remember them being that far from the field at Taylor County.
  10. I'm taking Mayfield. CAL has a great team but Somerset found a way to move the ball on them effectively tonight. If not for a penalty on the Centurion's 5 yard line the Jumpers would have scored 4 times. I think Mayfield's staff, coupled with a better offense than Somerset, will take the Jumpers blueprint and find a way to put up some points. I'll take the Cardinals 31-21 in a good one.
  11. Worst thing that could have possibly happened. Somerset was playing with no fear and was outplaying CAL up to that point. Totally unforced turnover. Have to suck it up and play on.
  12. Somerset forces a CAL punt. Briar Jumper ball iiib the Centurion's 41 yard line to start the drive.
  13. Somerset's offensive line is doing a nice job and their coaching staff has a good game plan on offense.
  14. Somerset kicks a 29 yard field goal. 7-3 CAL 5:24 1st quarter.
  15. Unless they left him in Louisville there's no one on the Centurion's offensive line that is 6'8". Great looking athletes but there's no one over 6'5".
  16. 7-CAL 5-Boyle County 3-Franklin Simpson 2-Pikeville 1-Trinity Tiebreaker-Boyle County
  17. You know what they say making assumptions makes you, right? Pulaski's quarterback has over 300 passes COMPLETED this season. They throw it all over the field.
  18. Exactly. Several Southwestern fans were talking about how bad the field conditions were going to be at Pulaski well in advance of the game last night. I can't help but wonder if that didn't get in the player's heads a little bit and contributed to the Warriors slow start. Just lace 'em up and play. Covington Catholic is the better team by far. It wouldn't matter where they play.
  19. The closest one is at Lindsey Wilson about 40 minutes away. Somerset High School is getting turf next season. Even if they had it this season and weren't playing at home on Friday good luck getting Pulaski to give up their home field advantage.
  20. LCA had the ball 1st and goal from the 1 with 40 seconds to go. 2 runs lost a yard. The Eagles had to spike the ball on 3rd down . The clock appeared to run out but the officials put a second back on the clock. (And it looked like there should have been a second put back on). LCA's play action pass fell incomplete in the end zone as time expired. Huge goal line stand by the defense after LCA made a brilliant drive down the field. Great game.
  21. Somerset. The Jumpers hold LCA 4 times from the 1 yard line for the win. 35-31
  22. Huge sack by Jacob Grabeel on 3rd down. Jumpers ball at the LCA 40. Jumpers lead 35-31 4:55 to go.
  23. Nice drive by Somerset. Big pass from Sheron to Grundy, long scramble by Sheron, capped off by a QB sneak. 35-31 Somerset 8 minutes to go.
