Ohio State or Oklahoma for the playoffs, make your case
AverageJoesGym replied to Jumper_Dad's topic in College Football
Except Oklahoma is ranked several spots ahead of Ohio State. Ohio State's (potential) wins over Michigan and Northwestern should not be enough to vault them over Oklahoma and their (potential) wins over WVU and Texas. The Michigan win is better than the West Virginia win but the Texas win would be better than the Northwestern win. There's not enough difference in the wins to jump that many spots. -

If you want to make that argument when the teams have the same number of losses, fine. To make it when LSU has 2 losses to OSU's one you've got no argument. LSU has 2 losses. They didn't win their division and won't play in their conference championship game. Not getting to the conference championship might be okay if they had one loss like Bama last season. But they've got 2. They don't belong ahead of ANY power 5 school with zero or one loss. The regular season should mean something. -

With the current system in place it should be Oklahoma without question. -
Here is something the KHSAA needs to/must address:

So it was an exaggeration to say it was a 10 minute walk then. It was just further than you were happy with. -
But I think OR said the seniors finished with 60 wins.

A 10 minute walk? So the locker rooms are a half mile from the field? I don't remember them being that far from the field at Taylor County. -
It still won't get UCF into the playoff.
-
Yes. UCF will get a rematch with Memphis.

I'm taking Mayfield. CAL has a great team but Somerset found a way to move the ball on them effectively tonight. If not for a penalty on the Centurion's 5 yard line the Jumpers would have scored 4 times. I think Mayfield's staff, coupled with a better offense than Somerset, will take the Jumpers blueprint and find a way to put up some points. I'll take the Cardinals 31-21 in a good one.

So it was a missed call?

Christian Academy-Louisville/Somerset Updates

Worst thing that could have possibly happened. Somerset was playing with no fear and was outplaying CAL up to that point. Totally unforced turnover. Have to suck it up and play on. -

Somerset forces a CAL punt. Briar Jumper ball iiib the Centurion's 41 yard line to start the drive. -

Somerset's offensive line is doing a nice job and their coaching staff has a good game plan on offense. -

Somerset kicks a 29 yard field goal. 7-3 CAL 5:24 1st quarter. -
Average Size of the Offensive Line Remaining 24 Teams
AverageJoesGym replied to Coach25's topic in KY Football (High School)
Unless they left him in Louisville there's no one on the Centurion's offensive line that is 6'8". Great looking athletes but there's no one over 6'5". -
It was hard for me to believe that Brett only won a single Gold Glove as well.

I'd trade him for sure now. He'd have a ton of value with that contract. -

Scooter Gennett has been removed from the list for Redsfest... Headed to the Yankees for Sonny Gray? -
Exactly. Several Southwestern fans were talking about how bad the field conditions were going to be at Pulaski well in advance of the game last night. I can't help but wonder if that didn't get in the player's heads a little bit and contributed to the Warriors slow start. Just lace 'em up and play. Covington Catholic is the better team by far. It wouldn't matter where they play.
