So... momentum for Trinity being nationally ranked is starting to build, eh?

Spalding blowing up.

Top point guard transferring in from Mississippi who already has some D1 offers.

Levitch getting an offer from IUPUI.

Rumors that the kid whose older brother just signed with Louisville could be landing at T?

These are the kinds of things they needed to do to help their cause for a national ranking. It's hard to argue with any school being a top 50 team when they are basically already a small college team when you consider that all 5 players they roll out could end up having a D1 offer.

The issue for Trinity is the different coaching philosophy between AAU & School Ball. Trinity is a defense first team. Very few offensive sets and doesn't allow kids to do what they do best on offense. Levitch, Spaulding, & Stafford are allowed to showcase themselves offensively in AAU ball while still performing on the defensive end. Plus Levitch is playing out of position (forward) @ Trinity. Their new transfer is overrated and will not fit into Trinity's system.

Daniel Ramser received an offer from Bellarmine today. Congrats @D_Rams13 @dyaste @SteveJones_CJ

Kinda goes along with what many on this thread have been saying. Probably all of Trinity's starters will have significant offers. I know the thread has gotten a little off topic but you have to think that Trinity will be mentioned nationally. They usually always play a tough in-state schedule and per "KOB" the are opting out of the KOB to play in the City of Palms tournament which is one the the more important national tourneys in December.

If their kids keep getting offers and interest at this pace, there's no way they aren't going to be noticed nationally. I know the City of Palms is a strong tournament, but I don't think that, the KOB with an average field by their standards, and a tough in state schedule (when there isn't really a huge chance for a "marquee" win over a nationally, or at least regionally recognized in-state foe such as a Ballard, Scott County, or Lexington Catholic in an "up" year by their standards), it could be tough for them to really top out in the rankings, especially considering how small the margin for error will be should they slip up and lose.

How would you have played them differently over the past few seasons though? I don't think Trinity wanted to be in the business of trying to get into track meets with some of the Ballard or Eastern teams they've faced.

I haven't seen them this summer, but wouldn't think it's outside the realm of possibility that they push the pace more next season. Regardless, there will still be some teams, even in the State if we're talking about one of the few as athletic as Hopkinsville, that Trinity would probably prefer to grind things out against.
