From Russell's perspective, Ashland is their main rival in all sports which might fire them up some but it will still be a 20+ win for the Tomcats.

Bad loss. I know it was on the road and Paintsville is much improved but they should have been able to handle Paintsville.

Love to see UK pull another Tyler Bell out of the hat and see him play for UK.

Raceland/Russell should be played if for no other reason than economic. Less travel and gate revenue.

Sleeper would be Russell. They could upset one of the big two but hard to see them doing it twice.

The scary part is Leavitt left Lexington and we did not get a commit. He is now visiting Texas Tech who can easily outbid UK if they want. UK needed to get the commit when he was on campus

UK hosted Braxton Kesthley (2027)(Martin County 6'5 PG/SG) on an unofficial visit last night for the NC Central game.

They do have Bourbon County as a common opponent on their respective home fields. Russell winning last night 14-7 and Lloyd beating BC earlier in the season 22-20.

Definitely felt like BC might have been looking towards a rematch with Lloyd. Their offense struggled when Russell bottled up the QB. Russell was solid as usual (except for that Ashland game) especially defensively. The Brown kid that was hurt could be a big blow if he is out for next week. Sidenote: I was surprised at the few fans that BC brought to the game. I think its a less and two hour drive.

JC was very impressive in their win over Ashland. People should not sleep on them to find their way to Kroger Field.

A gut punch for Russell in this rivalry. Speed and athleticism is the difference between these two programs. I too thought this would be closer and definitely did not see the running clock.

Its crazy to think how this once evenly heated rivalry has turned so one-sided. Even with Ashland dominating the series its still a big game for both schools.

I think Pikeville has won nine of the last ten meetings.
