Paintsville sits at 3-0 on the season and welcome in 3-0 Russell to town. One of these teams is going get its first loss of the season this week. Paintsville is looking to continue making statements in 2026. Russell put a running clock on last year on Paintsville. Who wins this matchup?

A running clock is off the table this year. It's not that Russell has regressed, but rather that Paintsville has improved greatly.

Russell has a lot of people banged up, so I'm not sure who will be suiting up. They may need all hands on deck to win this on the road.

This is the wymt game of the week.

I can't see Russell losing this one. Paintsville is confident, heading in the right direction, and playing at home so it's a close for a while but in the end the Devils pull away and win 20-7.

Bad loss. I know it was on the road and Paintsville is much improved but they should have been able to handle Paintsville.

I think this game is a good sign that people are underrating this Paintsville team. I certainly think they have a legitimate shot in 1A to make some noise this year.
