Trinity is a good little team that relies heavily on the outside shot going down. However there are prolly 15 good teams in the state this year and prolly no elite team (i have yet to see Mercer County). -
Nowhere near the quality of past Ballard teams but with a down state overall who knows. The seventh region still seems up for grabs this year.

It will be a massacre but a couple of buddies and me are planning to go to the UK/Alabama game this fall. Been to Notre Dame and Michigan and that was alot of fun. If I could swing it I would like to see USC in the Coliseum if nothing else for those USC cheerleaders in those nice tight sweaters....lol

Overall the team talent level this year is WAY down from last year around the state. I would think that as many as 15 teams from last season are better than this years best. -
The spinmaster has certainly spun his web on you

That is so not true. Pitino would give anything to beat UK. And as far as jabs not good enough for you....its because its just way to easy to say Stripper Poles

Lets look at it another way, if any of the non-Stoops players had been involved in any of the off field "activities" that Barker and Baker and the onfield issue of Williams I am confident they would not be on the team. -

Its obvious that Stoops never really gave full support to the players he did not recruit which is troublesome to me. Towles, Foster, West, and Phillips are all the perfect example of quality people and players. Coming from FSU it appears that Stoops prefers thugs in his program -

It is inappropriate, they leave their seats (or seating position). They should be required to stay or stand in their seats and not move towards a player. -
stupid, stupid, stupid,,,,,did i say stupid? how many seasons have we watched with an all girl alliance in the end? Spencer is supposed to be so smart and he lets that happen? If Jeremy plays his cards right he can mess it up though, if he lets Spencer and the hick get voted off then he plays his idol at 5. Tasha would be smart though to stick with the girls as i think she can beat them all but not Jeremy or Spencer

I will say it again,,,,Baker is the problem. Give him his walking papers. Off the field issues and talks way too much for a dude that cannot catch a cold.
-
For those of you that screamed for Barker,,,,well you got him. But it is quite obvious that he is not better than Towles. Cannot throw the deep ball better, not more elusive, not a better runner and cannot see above lineman. Sad.

1. I am not sure if it is not the trend in college football or not but or PR sake I believe we have to hire a special teams coach. Just too many breakdowns this season in the special teams game 2. I think Stoops needs an experienced "ear" on the sidelines. Elliott and Dawson (as well as Stoops) are first time coaches. I think Stoops needs someone on the sidelines to suggest and reassure his decisions to grow as a head coach. 3. As much as I hate three different OC in three years I think Dawson must go. Come to find out he didnt even really call the plays at WVU. Its too big a job for three first time coaches. Neal Brown was miles ahead of Dawson in hindsight. 4. Find some offensive identity. I am not sure that we can run the ball in the SEC and win. Run some but I think we just cannot recruit big enough OL and DL players to play smash mouth football and I think Stoops wants to do that. We have to throw the ball around 5. Baker talks way too much and has not proven on the field he can back it up. I say Stoops has a honest discussion with him and let him find a place somewhere else. 6. Wifi in the stadium, come on UK lets update this. Its silly not to have it 7. Continue the pre-game concerts. 8. Promote the good kids more. We have barely heard about the awards that Landon Foster is up for. He is a finalist for the Weurfell Trophy as well as Captain of the ESPN All State Award. Additionally a 4.0 double major. He is the perfect representative for the University and you barely hear about it. 9. The concession stands need ALOT of work. The lines are terribly slow and the food is average at best. More places for pizza and more kiosks for just cokes.

I think the internal problems with the team are the result of Dorian Baker. Barkers sidekick in extracurricular activities is the problem IMO. I dont care how could he can be, I think he should be kicked off the team.

On a scale of 1-10, rank Stoops' tenure so far
citycat replied to BigVMan23's topic in College Football
For some reason I still feel like there is a coaching curve going on with him and his staff. I do agree that he has improved the "brand" but not the results. I think he is being stubborn about a special teams coach and some of his (or Shannon Dawsons) decisions have to be questioned during the game. I really dont understand the Shannon Dawson. What has he brought to the table? He is definitely not out-scheming the opponents and definitely does not have a high powered offensive mind. That hire is looking like a big bust. Stoops has to hire a special teams coach at least to save face for the very poor special teams play. Also the fact that he hasnt recruited a kid other than McGinnis that can kick it in the end zone is perplexing. Just go grab a kid from the soccer team for heavens sake.
