  2. Thanks,,,,I guess you play who you play anyways but my initial reaction was surprise. So would that mean that you might have Ballard/Trinity in the semis or are the brackets different also.
  3. Trinity is ranked fourth in Jefferson County? How do u guys up there come to that conclusion?
  4. Knowing that they would have one of the top teams in the state it is interesting that KCC does not have a more formidable schedule. The Beach Ball Classic is a nice tourney but outside of that there are really only two top tier teams (CovCath and Hoptown) on their schedule. Kinda wonder why they were not in the KOB for example. They are really not that far from some tougher teams like Clay County, Wayne County, Lincoln County, Boyle County, Johnson Central, etc.
  5. Exactly. Thats why the thread title is ambiguous. The initial post attached to the title is really just his observations about selected players not the top performers in the tourney. Like I said in my post if you are talking about the top performers then Schuh, Ramser and Hawes should replace Elkins, Thieneman and Levitch on his list.
  6. I think that any discussion should start with the all tourney team: All-tournament team: David Simmons (MVP), Brady Norman, D.J. Washington of Henderson County; Tanner Johnson, Jarod Griffin, Michael Talbott of Lexington Catholic; Ray Spalding, Daniel Ramser of Trinity; Jeremiah Bell, Hagen Tyler of Boyle County; Matt Rose, Kyle Rode of LCA; Dwayne Sutton of Manual; Eli Wright of Apollo; Braxton Beverly of Perry Central. The title of the thread is top performers in the tournament. While 6/8/9 (on initial post) on the list are nice players they were not top performers in the tournament. I would replace them with Bo Schuh of CovCath, Daniel Ramser of Trinity and Hayden Hawes of Oldham County.
  7. If handed out today it would be Camron Justice, IMO
  8. All-tournament team: David Simmons (MVP), Brady Norman, D.J. Washington of Henderson County; Tanner Johnson, Jarod Griffin, Michael Talbott of Lexington Catholic; Ray Spalding, Daniel Ramser of Trinity; Jeremiah Bell, Hagen Tyler of Boyle County; Matt Rose, Kyle Rode of LCA; Dwayne Sutton of Manual; Eli Wright of Apollo; Braxton Beverly of Perry Central.
  9. For the LexCath and Trinity games he was definitely directing comments to Tanner Johnson and Raymond Spalding. Its just something I personally dont think is necessary.
  10. No doubt he had a great tournament, but the chatter is very offputting
  11. Seriously?....they just returned from one of the toughest high school tourneys in the nations where they played #1/#2 on consecutive nights and just flipped a switch to manhandle a once beaten team?
  12. Really nice group of teams. I am thinking maybe a Trinity/CovCath or LexCath final. The Aiken team that is playing Oldham County for the right to play Trinity might be a wildcard. There are some good teams in the Cincy area. Anyone from NKy know anything about them? There are just some terrific games in the brackets.
  13. Only loss was to a then unbeaten Oldham County (they look like they are in trouble tonight against Louisville Eastern)
  14. Not even ten games into the season and we see our first reverse psychology thread. I am assuming we have all seen several state tournaments in Kentucky to know that ANYONE can be beat in the region or sweet sixteen. Yes, Trinity has a very, very nice team but we have seen that many times over the years. Can Trinity win it all,,,,certainly,,,,,can they be beat,,,,,certainly.
  15. Oak Ridge defeated Archbishop Carroll 67-66. Oak Ridge is the team with Antonio Blakeney (UofL committ, UofL decommitt, UK attend BBM, UK will not attend BBM..lol) who is averaging 34 pts per game. They also have a 6'8" kid that has committed to Providence.
  16. Trinity will play the winner of Radnor Archbishop Carroll (Pa.) vs. Orlando Oak Ridge (Fla.) on Saturday at 1430.
  17. Was just looking at the brackets for the Republic Bank Classic and we may see round two of this game in the finals.
  18. Game will be very close. Keys IMO: CovCath: CVH ability to create shot and get to the line. Schuh has to stay on the floor. Romes must be a beast Trinity: production from the 2.3.4 (copied and pasted from prediction thread) CVH had 16 pts but nine were in the first quarter and a 3pt at the end of the game so bascially only 4 pts after the first qtr. Bo had 9 and played just okay. Romes was not a factor Trinity's 2.3.4: (2) Ramser 17pts, (3) Levitch 13pts and (4) Thieneman 9pts........39 pts from 2/3/4
  19. Covington Catholic 17 8 9 15 - 49 Trinity 15 12 17 16 - 60 Covington Catholic (2-1) – VonHandorf 16, Schuh 6, Flood 6, Theobald 8, Romes 4, Shumate 9. Trinity (3-0) – West 2, Levitch 13, Ramser 17, Schmitt 5, Thieneman 9, Stafford 6, Spalding 8. 3-point goals – VonHandorf 2, Schuh, Flood 2, Shumate; Levitch 2, Ramser 3, Schmitt. (per online Courier-Journal)
  20. Game will be very close. Keys IMO: CovCath: CVH ability to create shot and get to the line. Schuh has to stay on the floor. Romes must be a beast Trinity: production from the 2.3.4
  21. LexCath is on the road to play in the Ohio Shootout on the campus of Wilmington University. The Knights will play Wilmington High School
