  1. I think its two programs that are tough to like and this "sod cemetery" tradition of FSU is pretty disrespectful IMO.
  2. FYI: Toronto is the only MLB ballpark that serves beer in cans.
  3. So how many times do they let Toronto fans throw beers at players? This is at least the third time I know of it to happen. Hard to root for the whiny Blue Jays anyways on top of their terrible fans.
  4. Tells you all you need to know when their best defensive player is arrested and only misses the first half against a team like UK.
  5. I think the last i read was they are currently around 6,000 down from last year at this time, but i think they expect for some ppl to buy when it gets closer but still think it will be down from last year. Like I said in my original post, the marketing for these tickets I got in the mail was just pitiful
  6. Received my season tickets in the mail today and gotta say it was a total letdown. Last years tickets came in an awesome box with slick marketing and a big thankyou letter. This years tickets.......can in an oversized non-descript white envelope with just the tickets and a pocket schedule. No thank you, no slick packaging. just the tickets stapled together. One step forward.............two steps backwards They really just miss the boat with the average fan.
  7. Dad wanted the WR job,,,,,,,,,,,,hence son decommits,,,,,,,looking for package deal
  8. In all seriousness though, it is considered good form to utilize the horse's pedigree when naming. e.g. American Pharoah's sire is Pioneer of the Nile
  9. There are always single exceptions to pedigree trends but the fact that one progeny gets the distance effectively does not make the case that in general Unclo Mo's will get the classic distances. Indian Charlies and Arch's pedigree suggest 8-9 furlongs with Indian Charlies being on the more fragile side like Unbridled Songs.
  10. Danzing Candy did set up a good pace for some closers (Exaggerator). The points has made the race more fair I believe in that I agree that sprint races should not count. We have seen the last of the Trinnibergs. Funny how there does not seem to be the excitement of last year building up but maybe its early. AP was not even undefeated coming into the Derby but Nyquist seems to have doubters. The book is still out IMO on Uncle Mo's as to how far they can run (its his first crop) but one would guess 1 1/8 would be the farthest they go effectively but that can be proven wrong with more crops. I say Nyquist wins the Preakness but loses in the Belmont.
  11. Yes every year. The point system was put in place for the 2013 Derby. Orb (2013), California Chrome (2014), American Pharoah (2015), and now Nyquist were all post time favorites.
  12. Since the point system started the favorite has won every year
  13. If Exaggerator's connections are smart they would not run the Preakness and rest up and try to run down Nyquist with the added distance in the Belmont.
  14. 2003 Russell grad Bryan Groves is the new boys basketball coach
  15. Sorry but could someone add a question mark to the title?
  16. Dewayne Sutton (Louisville Manual) is transferring from UNC Wilmington? Big South Tourney MVP leaving, wonder whats up there? CJ reporting UofL is very interested. Odd he would give up a scholarship to be a preferred walk-on
  17. IMO a sex scandal is way past the UK issue. The latest self imposed penalities are a joke. Pitino goes to Florida during April every year and there is very little recruiting done in April. Most kids dont even take all their visits and losing a scholarship for a kid on the end of the bench makes this all "window dressing".
  18. I went to one of his signings and he was just great. Easy to talk to and took his time with everyone. Very classy guy.
  19. All they need is to find that "young Marvin Meredith" to walk thru the door...
  20. Several kids from BE on Bellarmines team?
  21. The game was officiated in a manner that favored Doss. They got away with all the hand checks. They called them in the earlier sessions just some inconsistency in how the games are being called. LC brought a ton of people, too bad for the attendence as the Louisville school will not bring alot
  22. A few months back I caught the tale end of a radio discussion about the team that holds the consecutive game record with at least one three pointer made. I thought they mentioned Vandy. Do they hold the record? Or who does?
