Last years team would be this years team every day of the week and twice on Sundays

I do love Survivor and watch it every week but I have to say I am not a fan of "retreads" in any form. I want brand new players each season

Kentucky/Mississippi State Predictions
citycat replied to All State Baseball's topic in College Football
Its hard to see UK going on the road and beating MSU but I have to say I am a little surprised at the early line of MSU by 11.5 -
What Is Your Least Favorite College Football Team?

Louisville -
Totally agree and they also need WiFi

And maybe if the Bengals played in the BCS they might win a playoff game.

As much as anything this week I believe that the coaching staff hopefully learned a lesson. Speaking during the week about playing backups was just fodder for EKU (who has a nice team). Then making some knee-jerk in game decisions to pull players (e.g. pulling Foster for a critical late game punt that backfired) almost cost them the game. Not having Williams certainly did not help but it was a poor effort by the coaching staff.

Headscratching call of the game that almost lost the game for UK. Down 20-13 and forced to punt backed up in their own territory, Stoops puts in backup punter who proceeds to punt it 21 yards and it was returned to the UK 25 yard line where EKU proceeds to punch it in to go up 27-13. You have a all-american type senior punter and you put in that backup late in the game? Its very interesting that Stoops talks about if the "older" guys dont produce he will go with the younger players but its interesting that the "older" players who are seniors is the class that he didnt recruit. Zac West didnt even get in the game against Mizzou.

What do we do with Timmons? Thoughts?
citycat replied to EyeInTheSky12209's topic in College Football
Made a very poor decision against Missouri by fielding a punt inside the 5 yard line. Also fumbled a punt late in the game. Actually I think he is too risky to be fielding punts, maybe we should put King back there. He has just never lived up to the hype -
Not sure I have ever been referred to as having a Polyanna view of things but if that is what you think so be it. I just refuse to live in the past, always be negative, and look at the glass half empty. As I tried to illustrate previously I do believe that we are turning the corner (it doesnt happen overnight). You can say (although I disagree) that this is the worst Florida team in ten years, they still have on their two-deep chart of 44 players.....17 five star recruits......we have had TWO five star recruits in OUR HISTORY. I think we are recruiting and coaching better than we ever have. Did it not cross your mind when we returned USC's two point conversion into two points for us that "hey that is something that would happen to us?" well it didnt happen to us WE did it to them. I went to the game and then Sunday watched it again and I still say we finally look like we belong on the field with SEC teams. That is huge progress IMO. So if you are still negative about the team then you dont have to go to the bowl game with us or buy season tickets but I plan to enjoy life.

This is the attitude that Stoops is trying to put in the past. Its so easy to go there every time something bad happens. I wish people would stop saying that and let it go and try to build. I would imagine that you have seen UK football for a few years now. I have a question for you. In the past ten years or so when we played a SEC opponent did it not even look like we did not belong on the field with that caliber of team? So my question is to you know is dont you think that watching last weeks game and this weeks game that "we looked like we belong"? Dont you think that is great strides forward?

I do think Towles is a good leader for the team but lets be honest. He is NOT an accurate passer, having said that the receivers could stand to make a tough catch every now and then. If Baker is gonna be the "yapper" of the team then his actions need to start backing up his talk

Best holiday tournament in ky this year
citycat replied to westernky's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
For me its always the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic at LexCath (formerly the Republic Bank Classic). I enjoy the Kentucky flavor of the tourney and LexCath is a great host for the tourney with very nice gym. Enjoyed watching Cameron Justice put up 63 pts a couple of years back. -
Both very nice players that will need to prolly be PG at next level. IMO, CVH can create a little more off the dribble

He is a very emotional guy as evidenced by how many times he switches trainers with horses. Super huge ego on him. If AP is okay there is no way he retires him before the BC. He really tried to deflect any negativity saying "its for the fans". Trust me,,,,these are millionaires that own the horses and its all about them and their wishes,,,,they pay the bills.

You can blame this one on the big egos of the Zayats. Baffert didnt wanna run in the Travers (1 for 20 in his last graded races at the Spa). Three week spacing with all that travel. The Zayats never even had a horse in the Travers before so this was a race they wanted to win in spite of doing what was best for the horse. If they are smart they will not run again until the BC

Making Pederson go back to back was a pretty big advantage for Frazier. No dawg in the fight but at least it should be fair. Frazier using snuff?.....

Its okay, I think most ppl end up underestimating LexCath. They always produce one of the more basketball savy teams each year, just a bunch of ballers.
