  1. I actually like Neal Brown and I believe he was a great asset to the KY recruiting. IMO for most of the games the offense scored enough points to win the games. For me,,,,,,,the DEFENSE is the problem. You cannot win games giving up 40ish points per game
  2. 1. McCracken County 2. Hopkinsville 3. Owensboro 4. Warren Central 5. Taylor County 6. DeSales 7. Trinity 8. Oldham County 9. Covington Catholic 10. Campbell County 11. Lexington Catholic 12. 3. Not a huge classic but its a song I love to hear around this time,,,,Christmas in Dixie by Alabama
  4. I think that is a very harsh statement to make at Knott County to say this made them look like "hicks". Why does having the pep band and cheerleaders and 3500 ppl in attendance make them look bad? Ten dollars might have been a tad high but there were four games (Lawrence County and Wolfe County played varsity and JV games as well as Trinity and KCC). I for one am proud to say that the National Anthem was played before the game. PCC may well play them very tough but to lash out at them for having the number one team in the state come and play them on their home floor is unfair.
  5. Woods has a really nice stroke but Wayne County will have trouble with any team outside the mountains. Entertaining game but obviously little defense played. Beverly put on a show with 43 and Tobler "added" 29
  6. KCC Patriot Panarama, Saturday November 22: Lawrence County vs Wolfe County Lou. Trinity vs Knott County Central
  7. When you are defensively out of position (like he was all day) the refs will call it everytime. I would say that he was used to playing against smaller teams and could get away with just his length but Trinity was one of the "longest" teams in the tournament and standing upright all the time just doesnt cut it.
  8. Obviously a great opportunity on the court but the off the court opportunities is the real game changer.
  9. Now called the ZipZone Classic: Nov. 29 at Lawrence County High School 10: 30 - Hazard vs Tug Valley, WVa 12: 10 - Shelby Valley vs Elliott County 1: 50 - Ballard vs Mingo Central 3: 30 - Johnson Central vs Covington Holmes 5 :10 - Lawrence County vs Louisville Trinity 6 :50 - Sheldon Clark vs Lexington Catholic
  10. "Basically" he is a very basic summary of what happened. Prior to 2010 the Fayette County Public Schools would not play LexCath (or LCA) in any regular season sport because they were of the opinion that LexCath and LCA were skimming the good athletes to their programs. LexCath and LCA were having much difficulity scheduling many sporting events so they ended up in an agreement with the Fayette County Public Schools to make kids sit out for one year it they transferred into LexCath. LexCath (and LCA) agreed to these terms and for the last four years the Fayette County Public Schools have played LexCath. The result has been seen in some dropoff LexCath sports talent so they no longer want the be part of the agreement and will try to schedule outside the county. I dont think that either party is really to blame here its just that LexCath wants to try filling up their schedule outside the county and be able to have kids transfer in. What makes this kinda unique is that unlike the Jefferson County Catholic schools there is really no "feeder" catholic system in Fayette County like there is in Jefferson County so alot of kids have to sit out a year. I think LexCath will be fine and not have any trouble filling up their schedules. Only time will tell I guess.
  11. The Storm's losing streak reaches 35 games in a row.

  13. You guys are more than welcome to come up to the mountains and see what potentially could be the game of the season even if it is a scrimmage: November 22, 2014 Trinity at Knott County Central Scrimmage open to public
  14. I was surprised that Keith went with Missy/Baylor and not his older counterpart Dale. Dale had a really, really mean look in his eyes and I dont blame him. His analysis of Missy was spoton though. I want the Indian girl to go she is super annoying. Right now I am hopin Wes goes all the way, he is really good at the challenges
  15. Mingo Central is in West Virginia (sorry I assumed everyone would know). It is a school that was consilidated of about four or five schools in 2011. As you imagine its coal country and their nickname is the Miners. I would say their biggest rival is a Kentucky team the Belfry Pirates which is prolly 15 miles west of Mingo County, West Virginia. For a geographical perspective then Belfry is about an hour south of Louisa (Lawrence County High School)
  16. Zip Zone Classic (formerly the Fast Lane Classic) will be Saturday November 29 at Lawrence County High School. The current matchups (subject to change) are as follows: Shelby Valley vs Westside, WV. Lexington Catholic vs Ballard Hazard vs Tug Valley, WV. Lawrence County vs Lou. Trinity Johnson Central vs Mingo Central Sheldon Clark vs Covington Holmes
  17. Zip Zone Classic (formerly the Fast Lane Classic) will be Saturday November 29 at Lawrence County High School. The current matchups (subject to change) are as follows: Shelby Valley vs Westside, WV. Lexington Catholic vs Ballard Hazard vs Tug Valley, WV. Lawrence County vs Lou. Trinity Johnson Central vs Mingo Central Sheldon Clark vs Covington Holmes
  18. Dorian Baker for me has two strikes against him. The air gun incident and now the "fair" block and taunting when you are down 31 points. This is now clearly a pattern of poor judgement on his part. Suspend him for another game and one more incident and bye-bye. We dont need this.
  19. Will root for anyone except KC. Show a little class and respect for the other team. Beating your chests and wearing disresctfull teeshirts does not a man make. Bushleague.
  20. 2016 Alex Cook 6'5/F of Male High (KY) received an offer from Bellarmine University yesterday.
