Russell Red Devils ?

If the line of scrimmage develops, the Devils could be a handful in 3A this season. Key returnees include their top two rushers, led by running back Kaden Benge (557 yards/12 TDs), and top three receivers, led by Cayden Pennington (706 yards/10 TDs). The defense should hit the ground running with the return of its top nine tacklers, paced by linebacker Wyatt Hudson (102 tackles). The pieces are there for Russell to be a force this season, they just need the lines - o-line in particular, because it was almost completely wiped out by graduation - to come of age.

I really like what Russell is bringing to the table. They showed massive improvement over the course of last season and now return a veteran team who seem to understand their identity. I expect Benge to take a major step forward and to become a 1000 yard rusher to go along with a quality passing game. Defensively they won't wow you but they play good sound fundamental football.

My Town TV schedule.

Still not used to seeing Raceland or Ironton or Boyd County on the schedule anymore.

Bump.

I know. Weird isn’t it?

Not a great schedule for the Red Devils!

I would agree with most everything here. Benge hurt early preseason and may be back against the Musketeers, more news to come from that. Line of scrimmage still seems to be developing, though not where they need to be to make another run in the playoffs. Defensively, there is no reason they shouldn't be very good. They return a lot of experience on defense and should be much better.
