Suprised i didn't see a thread on this one year.

Two top 10 teams going at it Friday night in Louisville.

Who wins and why?

Trinity's size too much for the Colonels?

How much will Covcath's physical defense bother the Rocks?

To say this CCH crew is "up against it" is an understatement.

I noticed in another thread, someone mentioned how great T's front court is. Aside from Spalding, what makes it great?

They don't lack for height...

Szabo can start perhaps the tallest team in the state this season with the 6-foot-10 Spalding, 6-foot-6 Thieneman, 6-foot-6 Levitch, 6-foot-4 Ramser, 6-foot-3 Stafford, 6-foot- 2 West and 6-foot-5 Murphy. They’re long, athletic and committed to playing championship caliber defense.

CovCath has to keep Schuh on the floor. Romes will have to be very good. Heppler has to be an impact player.

Most of those guys, probably all of those guys aren't as tall as that article makes them. So because they're tall and athletic, they're great?

An entire D1 front line qualifies as "great" in my eyes.

That height issue can be said about most HS teams..

ok, was just trying to get an understanding of the thought process. Is there not a better front court in the state?

How many of the Trinity kids played on the The Ville's AAU National Championship team?

Friday night in St. Matthews presents a unique opportunity to see the broad spectrum of high school basketball in Kentucky. At 6:00, St. Francis and Walden, two of the smallest schools in the KHSAA, play at Walden. Then, at 7:30, within walking distance from Walden, defending state champion Covington Catholic plays at Trinity. Should be quite a contrast.

3. Spalding, Levitch, and Stafford.

Is Levitch the tall PG? He is at least 6'5... no?

Shooter, I've never seen him run the point, and I believe I guessed him at 6'4" on the phone this evening. Can really stroke it.

This video shows The Ville (Levitch and Spalding) vs Bo Schuh's AAU team over the summer. Trinity is LONG!
