The 7th is LOADED.

No Michael Stafford or Jay Murphy. LOADED!!!!!

Hard to disagree.

Trinity is the clear-cut favorite.

Very curious to see how Ballard replaces their departures: not only the graduating seniors, but lost transfers as well.

The Ballard questions and seeing the development of Waggener are, I think, the most intriguing questions heading into the season. Waggener gets the Shamrocks VERY early: Dec. 4.

Perry is too low on the list. Plus I think West is getting the benefit of the doubt without any real games in the region.

I was surprised to see him that high as well considering none of us in KY have really seen him play. High praise out the gate for a kid that we don't know if he will be starting or not.

Also no Daniel Ramser, who has committed to Bellarmine.

A foregone conclusion that Trinity will win it all this year. But, they should have won it last year and didn't. You never know.

They are the favorite but it isn't a foregone conclusion. Many teams have taught us that. Ballard in 13' and Trinity in 14' have shown that. Eastern in 11'?

Very true.

Trinity is a defense first team with loads of offense that hopefully coach with use (not just depend on Spaulding all the time). As far as the 7th region, their coach is one of the best, plus they focus on true team ball. There is no reason they wrap up the region if not state.

I agree with all of this. I'll only add this and it's for the entire state:

Kids.......be sure to hit your free throws.

^ Ugh. Why'd you have to throw that in there? Brutal reminder.

I swear it's for everybody. Free throws cost Ballard in 13' and 14'.

Saint X not getting much love in the

Pre season, but can see them playing at a high level this year and playing a lotta teams above them real tuff.

Waggener is a little high, a team that lost 4 of its top 8 from last year 16 win team. The trinity game will be at least 20 points. I think Ballard is just being placed as 2nd because they are Ballard. Don't get me wrong they will still win 20 plus games but I just do not see any one beating Trinity this year. It's them and everyone else. I think Manual is the second best team, Great player is Sutton and really good coach in Just.

Trinity would be the prohibitive favorite IMO. The dogfight for the second best team would come from Manual, Ballard, Eastern and Male in which I think its a tossup. I will give Manual the edge just because of Sutton.

Top five players in the region:

Spalding

Sutton

Ramser

Perry

Moses
