? The Irresistible Force Welcomes A Devilishly Good Defense

The Juggs are 12-0 for the first time in thirty years. One of those twelve wins came against Russell when the two shared a district for a few years. An omen, perhaps?

The Devils would love nothing more than to ruin Lloyd's best season in a generation. The defense looks ready for the task, allowing 11 points per game after stifling Bourbon County. 

But Lloyd's offense is a different animal, having surpassed the 40 point threshold in ten of twelve games. Kaleb Evans has authored one of the greatest seasons ever by a Juggs quarterback. 

The two met last season at Russell, with the Devils staging a second half comeback after trailing 20-0. 

That night will surely be a talking point for Lloyd throughout the week's preparation. The Juggs will look to accelerate and keep their foot on the gas. As they learned last year, there's no quit in the Devils.

They do have Bourbon County as a common opponent on their respective home fields.  Russell winning last night 14-7 and Lloyd beating BC earlier in the season 22-20.

This should be a good game, I’ll take Lloyd closely. 

Anyone know the Status of Russell's Zach Brown? Is he done for the season after getting hurt against Bourbon?

That should be close to #1 in NKY for TD's. I think O'Hara is 1 now but Evans could surpass him now with Cooper being done.

I don't know his status, but the blow he took to the leg didn't look good.

There's sharp and then there's Evans in the first two rounds.

I believe this game is going to be a showdown with plenty of excitement. Both teams have an offense that can hit home runs at any moment. I personally think that it is going to come down to which defense can get to the quarterback the most and put pressure on. Lloyd as a team has 21 sacks and I believe Russell has 18. I did see a post where a young man for Russell suffered an injury. Let’s wish him the best and hopefully he’s in this game playing. To no surprise, I’m picking the Juggs! The reason being I still believe the Bourbon County game changed the Juggs. I do not think they liked how that game went. I am sure both teams are coming to play with heart and passion. Don’t forget to stop by and see dirty Mike and the boys at the Tailgate. Juggs win 28–14. @Honey Badger hope you can make it.

I just saw that! I’m assuming it’s because of the possible weather coming in. I’m not sure why of the change other than that.

@DevilMayCare I was just curious if you had a prediction of what the score is going to be in this game.

I expect a good game. Russell's defense is good enough to keep them in it, I just don't know that they can muster the offense to come out on top.

The Devils have made progress running the football as Kaiden Benge has rounded into shape. I think they need to get a push against Lloyd and establish the run. If the Juggs are stout in the front seven, Russell becomes very one dimensional and Lloyd can pin its ears back and go after Frasure. His mobility could play a huge factor.

Frasure's been very good this year, but Evans is dialed into a different frequency right now. He's the best quarterback Russell has seen. Evans played well against Russell last season. I don't see any reason why he won't play well again. 

As long as Lloyd puts four quarters together, I think they win somewhere in the neighborhood of 21-13.
