I thought now that the season is mercifully over. This is sure to be an interesting off season for the Kentucky football program. What changes (if any) will be made to the coaching staff. What players will leave and who will Stoops be able to bring into to Lexington. Also, next season will begin the SEC going to a 9-game conference schedule. That means to get now to 6 wins the Cats will only 2 so-called cupcake games. So that means to just get to 6 wins they will have to win those 2 and even if they beat Louisville, they will need a minimum of 3 SEC wins and 4 if they are not able to beat Louisville. The last two seasons combined they are 3-13.

I keep saying the same thing. No matter who coaches at UK they need a terrific recruiting department with a ton of NIL money. There are not enough SEC quality athletes in our state since we have only a little more than 200 football schools and if there are 10-15 of those guys they NEVER get all of them. Alabama had 48 in state guys on their roster and Auburn 47! That's the biggest issue.

I look for redshirt Freshman 6'4 323 pounds Aba Selm Pioneer grad to start at one of the guard spots next year!

While there are definitely challenges to overcome. I do think UK is capable of doing better on occasion than some think. In the last 13 years we has seen neighboring schools all around us make great runs. UC played in college football playoff, then if you go back even a few more years they also played in a BCS bowl game. UL has played in multiple BCS bowl games. Indiana football, while playing in tough Big 10 is playing in college football playoffs. Tennessee played in the playoffs, Vandy just had a better year this year than any year we had with Stoops and will make the playoffs or barely miss it. 
 

To me Indiana football doing what they are doing. Shows that it can be done, as they are doing it in a top conference too.

As of right now, it's hard to see past two wins. 5 SEC road games is tough for a new coach.

Tough schedule. Unless the new coach can take advantage of the portal like Indiana has been doing, it'll be the same ole same ole.

Now that Kentucky has hired Will Stein as its next coach. Let’s see who he can bring in and how he helps Cutter Boley.

Potanski from Moeller said he’s signing asap. Hope that he can push Boley which should improver Cutters game.

Hopefully he gets an opportunity to do that.

Novosad is where my money would be. 

Just like every year, until we know what the roster looks like, predicting a record is a pure, blind guess. 

I'll say 4-8 for now. Youngstown, South Alabama, Missouri, South Carolina.
