  1. True. They also had one of the toughest schedules going into last year though too. I honestly really like how this years schedule looks.
  2. For point number 5 that you stated that the new bylaw does not apply to public to private transfers. Unless I misunderstood the info @theguru shared. Isn’t that only true if a person switches to from a public school in the same county as the private school? In the example they gave it showed them transferring from one Fayette county school to a private school also in Fayette county. So wouldn’t the new bylaw be in effect say if a person lives in boone county and attends a boone county school, and then transfers to Covcath while still living in Boone County? Or did I misunderstand it, and the new bylaw still wouldn’t matter no matter where they live as long as they are switching from a public to a private school.
  3. Don’t forget to add that Brady just like Manning won a Super Bowl with two different teams too.
  4. Well Reeves I believe was a 20 ppg scorer. Fredrick shoots even better than 41%. Wallace and Livingston are two are your top recruits. So if you play him over those two, then people probably like you also complain about Cal when one or both of them transfer because of not playing them much.
  5. That is Drew Warth practicing for the NKY Senior All Star game. He is a great young man and will be attending Thomas More this fall.
  6. I think we see him just completely take off this year. Similar to how his brother came out of no where to become one of the best.
  7. Isn’t Washington’s coach from the Jim Boehein coaching tree and they play basically 2/3 zone defense all game? So that should help hide some of Brooks defensive issues and allow him to focus on the offensive side of things for his senior year.
  8. My hot take for this year is Jacob Toppin will end up being one of the best players in college basketball this year and end up a lottery pick.
  9. What other potential wing players should he surpass in your opinion?
  10. Yeah coaches definitely don’t make much at all in Kentucky, when you calculate the amount of hours they put in.
  11. He may have been their first choice all along in terms of just the coaching aspect of things. They just weren’t willing at that time to financially do the things they would have to do to get him at that moment. So they went with someone else who made more sense in the money department, then after that quick divorce with the guy they did go for. It probably forced their hand to make them more willing to do anything to go get Sphire, and sell their soul as someone said to make sure they got him.
  12. I was at the game and didn’t feel like the strike zone was any bigger than normal. In fact it seemed like there was more pitches that was called ball that was questioned that looked like they should have been strikes, than the other way around. It honestly was just a very well pitched game from both teams, with good defense. Berger in the last inning was literally a foot away from tying it up, but the Russell County Left Fielder made a great play reaching up right at the fence to make the catch. If Beechwood was going to lose, i definitely didn’t think it would be because of them getting shut out. The Russell County pitcher did a great job mixing up his pitches and locating keeping the Beechwood batters off balance.
  13. I’m all ears. What makes him signing at UK interesting?
  14. What’s really interesting about it? Just a normal walk on that won’t ever see the court here at UK. IMO he most likely will stay two years here at UK as a walk on, and will get to train and practice against top D1 guys. Then after two years most likely tries to transfer to NKU to play for his dad.
  15. He came in and did great his first inning retiring the number 2,3, and 4 batters for Beechwood. Control seemed to be an issue in his second inning of work though.
  16. IMO you use him the very first game and go from there. The last thing you want to do is not use your best pitcher, and end up losing while never even getting to use your best pitcher. The only game you should be worried about now, is the next game. Can’t really worry about any games after that, because those games don’t matter if you lose before then.
  17. I know I mentioned before, however I just really like their chances to win it all this year.
  18. Blake Clary was a long time assistant under previous coach Aaron Stamm. Blake was with Stamm at both Ludlow and Conner. Blake is also a graduate of Ludlow High School. Congrats to Blake on being the new head coach.
  19. More difficult yes, but I still like their chances to win the 9th. I honestly like their chances to win the whole thing this year.
  20. Well some district champ isn’t going to be happy now when they draw Beechwood in the first round of the region.
  21. So they are getting revenge on themselves for having the worst era of HHS football in forever?
  22. Revenge tour? What exactly are they getting revenge on?
  23. Oh I know. That’s why I said after this year if they have another really good season, that they should possibly consider beefing it up some. It will be interesting to see if they are able to continue their winning ways again this year.
