Starting QB and NT.

He's a sophomore with limited Varsity game experience, so I'm not surprised he played as much as he did. I would play him as well just to get the experience. I believe his main backups are a senior WR and a freshman? So, there's that also.

The Southwestern Warriors (0-1) make the long trip north to Claryville to take on the Campbell County Camels (1-0). The Camels are coming off their win in the Battle Of The Bridge over Scott, winning 32-7 despite a couple of costly turnovers and penalties which could have opened up the score even more. The Warriors come in ready to avenge their loss to CC last year in Somerset. They're also looking to bounce back after their 35-16 loss to Glasgow last week. Will the Camels be able to correct their mistakes and add another to the win column? Can the Warriors avenge last year and get their first of the season? 7:30 game time with current weather forecast showing clear skies in the upper 70s.

Isn’t Harmon at Eminence now? And how do they look on their O line? I thought they had 3 solid starters graduating. Do they have a good group to replace them? I think that’s key to their season.

Ryle comes into Beechwood having lost some key players to graduation, and Beechwood is primed for a long run in the playoffs with their fast paced offense and stingy defense. Can Ryle replace the Verax and Savage duo and keep rolling, or is Beechwood going to control the game with Queen, Fryman, and Pabst?

I should add that Nathan Verax had the experience that Brody doesn't and made some fine throws himself, but they still pushed the run and took advantage of his ability to do that. Brody has a better arm and from a throwing QB standpoint, they will be better. From a running QB standpoint, I don't think they will be, but I won't know for a couple of weeks.

I can't really say they are just through 7 on 7, but he's a 6'2" 200 lb (I believe that is correct but he could be taller/bigger?) Sophomore who at least looks like he's been there going through 7 on 7. Games speak volumes and he's got to start and finish one, but he's got a pretty sizable and experienced line and he can make throws.

Has a strong, accurate arm and can move should he need to. Has 3 years to prove himself, but I can see him challenging to be one of the best QBs coming out of Ryle when it's all said and done.

I was on the other end of the field for SK/Ryle session, but it sounded based on the SK crowd reaction (as well as Ryle's lack of reaction) that SK brought it today. Their QB has a very strong arm and is not afraid to go for the long ball.

I think it is tough to top Mercer County and Beechwood on this list. For Mercer Co, luring away Travis Burns from a team that was in the 5A state championship game last season is a tremendous accomplishment. For Beechwood, being able to bring back a champion pedigree coach to replace a champion pedigree coach shows that they will always fight to remain on top of the standings. On the opposite side I'd say you have to consider Gallatin Co. I'm not going to dive into that one out of respect, but it shows the problems they've had this offseason when they've gone through 2 hiring processes.

I'm not sure the competition with other KY school districts is the problem. Beechwood Independent is already above the average when it comes to median teacher salary. The issue is competing with the CPS teacher pay scale system, which I don't think is feasible for a lot of KY schools.

What accountability needs to be taken? Whose feelings were hurt? If they felt they made the wrong decision, then they were accountable and tried to right the ship before it got out of hand. Just curious as to what you might know towards feelings being hurt?

They are in spring ball right now, might be their last week.

Depends on each school but teams have games and practices on the turf during the spring. I know lacrosse has games on the fields and baseball teams use them for practice. At least the ones that don't have turf baseball fields like Ryle. Which I still wonder what we're waiting for on that one?
