  1. I seriously doubt we see Higgins play Thursday. So they won’t have a full compliment of weapons. The big one is on defense though if Hendrickson can go.
  2. The first interception wasn’t that tough of a throw IMO and is a throw he usually makes, but just overthrew it. The second interception there was zero reason to force it. At that point they were inside the 15 yard line and it was first down with like 4 minutes and 30 seconds left. He didn’t have to force it there, just a dumb decision on his part. Then he also missed a wide open Irwin on a wheel route in the end zone. Luckily though they still scored two plays later.
  3. As a coach you trust your franchise QB to make the right call. I’m sure you have had no problem with it, when it has worked. Honestly every single time they go empty, the QB draw is probably one of the plays always available for Burrow to check to if they don’t have anyone really any the box. Which the Texans didn’t there, and baited Burrow into it. I am not a fan of Taylor as a play caller, but that draw decision is 100% on Burrow.
  4. Winning the division is not already gone, considering they have 4 division games left. The Raven, and Browns also have 2 division losses. If the Bengals win Thursday, I think they would be in great shape in the division. The Steelers may be the worse 6 win team in the league, and I like the bengals chances in both games against them. Then the Browns at home to end the regular season. So if they can win this Thursday. The division title is very much in play for them.
  5. Joe definitely had a rough 4th quarter and had some poor throws and stupid decisions. However, I don’t think that was a tough catch at all. He just simply dropped it.
  6. I seriously doubt Taylor has called any of the actual QB draws that Burrow has ran. Usually those QB draws is all Burrow checking to that based off a look he may like. So I would bet that draw call was all Burrow on that one.
  7. This! Which drives me crazy! Very rarely do they seem to scheme guys open, it’s more just guys having to win on their routes. If they don’t, then nothing is there. I’m not sure who the Texans OC is. However, as great as Stroud looked today. I was even more impressed with the OC of the Texans. He routinely kept calling plays that kept confusing the Bengals secondary and getting guys wide open down the field for big chunk plays.
  8. Why would this game after the last 3 years be the one that changes things? Many more games much worse than this in regards to pass pro. Which three of the starters on the Oline are guys they went out and paid in free agency in Brown, Cappa, and Karas. Used a first round pick on Jonah Williams, then another draft pick on Volson. Also a second round pick on another backup lineman. So the narrative that they haven’t tried to invest in the line is false. With that said the big question should be will they make a necessary change with the Oline coach, since they have invested in the line and it still isn’t great.
  9. That is not correct. Ludlow has won a first round game a few times since 1975. However, this is the first time they have won two playoff games in a season since 1975. Coach McMillen is doing a great job down there at Ludlow! I truly believe they have a great shot next week against KCD.
  10. Posted this in another thread. Southwestern has played some tough teams on their schedule like Ballard, South Warren, Belfry, and Franklin County. They only won one of those 4 games, but was right there in all of them. They are a very good team. They also made the state semi-finals last year, and was the team that knocked off Scott County after Scott County had beat Cooper and Highlands in the playoffs. So Southwestern has been here before and is definitely not a team to overlook, and should be a good game

  12. Not for no knee pads. Knee pads were in, but refs deemed the players didn’t have their pants low enough to cover up their knees.
  13. Refs sent about 6 players from Cooper and 6 players from Scott County out at different times for pants not being low enough. Then the refs at one point made Cooper’s PAT holder and then Scott County holder go out, but I don’t think it had to do with their knee pads on that. I believe in both cases it was another equipment issue though, that made them send the holders off.
  14. It would be one of them. However, as someone mentioned Cooper has made a state title game before, and also a state semifinals in another year. So they have had some other big wins that were even further in the playoffs and more important. No matter what it definitely is a big win for them, and completely flipped the script from last year against Scott County.
  15. That's simply not true. At least not the coach’s part. No coaches had to be separated. Two Scott County players started running in throwing punches at Cooper players in the line and coach’s from both sides were stepping in trying to get everyone separated. Scott County had about 7 or 8 unsportsmanlike personal fouls in this one, if not more. With multiple players ejected in the 4th quarter by Scott County, a chain gang member ejected in the third quarter, and a coach at the end. It definitely was an ugly thing there, something I have never seen before in a high school game. With that said complete domination by Cooper in this one.
  16. The performance was about what I expected. The bengals are the better team and should win that type of game. Still didn’t play their best, especially in the second half. However, they did enough to win, which is what good teams do. As for the stripe the jungle I love it. I feel like they should make that an every game thing starting next year. This way season ticket holders can plan in advance to have that color for their section, and even when people buy single game tickets they would know what color section they are sitting in. That should be an every game thing, and then just mix in a white out when they do the white tiger.
  17. That was a fun first game to watch! I love the style they are playing on offense this year. How they played over the summer carried over to tonight. The defense also played great.
  18. Luckily Houston looking as good as they did this week, should help keep them focused with playing another good team now.
  19. It’s definitely the best division. With that said I like to look at things more positively. So I will say they are in a 3 way tie for second place. 😄
  20. Both Isaiah Johnson and Austin Alexander would start with them. Once again this shows you must not know much about Cooper, if you don’t believe that.
  21. My question is do you even know much about Cooper at all? How you are talking sounds like you think Coopers receivers are just your typical average high school receivers, and don’t compare to what Boyle has at receivers. Player for player Boyle is the best team in the state, no one is arguing that. However, if you think a couple of Coopers receivers also wouldn’t start for Boyle, then you are being delusional.
  22. I assume you think Scott County has one of the best secondaries in the state then, since you say they have the backend to cover Cooper?
