  1. The defense has been bad this year. However, I still think he will be a candidate teams look at. can't ignore how it was his defense that led the playoff runs the last two years. I think teams will chalk it up to him having a very young secondary for why they struggled this year. The run defense has sucked too, but I think he will still get interviews.
  2. Not sure why you would put Highlands in front of Cooper. Highlands was very senior heavy this year and loses the majority of their starters. They do have a lot of younger talent coming up. However, with what they lost and with Cooper only losing 3 seniors that started on offense or defense. I just don’t see a reason why Highlands would be ranked ahead to start this year. I honestly probably would have Highlands at 5. I would have South Warren and Owensboro ahead of them too. As I think BG, Cooper, Owensboro, and South Warren would be the favorites and Highlands is the wild card. Just depend how quickly that great younger talent makes the jump to varsity play.
  3. In no way shape or form should people be saying Taylor needs to be fired. Shouldn’t have been said a few weeks ago or now. IMO people have to learn to seperate Taylor the head coach from Taylor the play caller. Taylor the head coach has been great for this team overall IMO. Taylor the play caller deserves to be questioned a lot. Which Taylor the head coach needs to take a hard look in the mirror at himself as the play caller and decide if him calling plays is still the best for this team going into next year. Lou on defense also must be much better next year if he doesn’t get a HC and is back.
  4. Bengals are looking at possibly going 0 and 6 in the division this year. Which honestly so far in the division games the opponent has basically controlled the game. For the coaching staff they better take a hard look at how they attack these division games, because right now their division opponents have been figured out. 7 losses and 5 have came in the division.
  5. Well that sucked! Defense sucked, offense sucked and only scored 11 points against a defense that was very banged up. Play calling wasn’t good. With all that said I do think the bengals will get the help they need to make the playoffs if they can win the next two. Problem is I don’t know if they can win the next two games.
  6. Good win as they did what they should do against a bad team. Hopefully this game gives Edwards a little more confidence going forward. They need to get him consistently going, or else I would love to see Theiro start to get more of his minutes.
  7. I must not be paying attention as much lately to things lol, because this is the first I heard about this. I still would be shocked if he left.
  8. I very much doubt any person that applied for this job viewed it as a stepping stone job. The attraction of this job was going to a very good school that has been successful in athletics in other sports, and getting a chance to literally build the program with their own vision from the ground up. So no matter who they hired, I doubt anyone would have used it as a stepping stone type job.
  9. I believe they went 3 and 1 last year when Chase was out with his hip. Obviously though that was with Burrow still playing. So hopefully they can keep winning without them both.
  10. Yeah the Browns and one of the AFC South teams specifically the Texans. It would take a 4 way tie with the Dolphins included. So very small chance all that happens, but technically it can and could keep the Bengals out even if they win out.
  11. I believe the only scenario where they can miss if they win out is if Buffalo ends up winning their division over Miami. If Miami ends up 11 and 6 but doesn’t win their division. Miami would have the tie breaker over the Bengals due to conference record. Then also would have to be tied with another team or two as well. So it’s very long odds of it happening, but if Buffalo somehow wins their division, then that scenario comes into play.
  12. Based off all that has he coached at all since 2007? If he stopped being SK coach in 1995. Those years listed as an assistant add up to just 12 years. So I’m just curious to when was the last time he coached? With that said it’s a great resume and sounds like a big time hire by St. Henry.
  13. In the past you would be 100% right that it takes a few years to complete a roster turnaround. that's simply not the case anymore in college basketball. Very easily to completely flip a roster in just one year, and especially by second year. Zero reason to have been as bad as they have been the last two years.
  14. In the world of free transfers, isn’t it his own fault in regards to what he has to work with? It’s not that hard anymore to come in and completely flip a roster to what you want and be at least competitive and not losing record.
  15. Huge game. If the Bengals win this one, it keeps the Steelers from having any chance at finishing in a tie with the Bengals if the Bengals get to the magic win total of 10.
  16. They possibly was the worse offense in the NFL even before Trubisky had to play.
  17. Pay increase? I love Mixon and the energy he has always brought, but I don’t know about a pay increase. Imo he is coming closer to that running back wall backs eventually hit. I think the pay cut he took this year, is still more than what he would get in the open market if he was a FA. Running backs are one of the most easiest positions to replace in this league, so usually doesn’t make sense to pay them. As we are seeing with how good Chase Brown has looked too.
  18. I would say since Bam. He was a pretty darn good big for UK in 2017 and having a very good NBA career too.
  19. That was huge, especially since it was 4th down. Angry Mixon is fun to watch run the ball.
  20. Maybe there is something wrong, but as far as I know there is not. I do know with them trailing by 14 in the 4th. They like Williams much better for pass protection, so that is why I assumed he was in. However, maybe there was an injury I was unaware of.
  21. I don’t think so. I just think they kept with Mixon because he had the hot hand and was running angry. Which was probably because of Brown starting over him lol. I liked how it went, plus having a fresh Mixon in the 4th is nice.
  22. I could be wrong but I don’t think he teaches at Beechwood anymore. I thought I heard he was down at Holmes now teaching.
  23. I didn’t get to watch this game. Are you saying the Bills had the ball with 2:12 left and Chiefs had two timeouts? If I understood that right, then in that case even running it 3 straight times would have still left about 1:50 on the clock. The two minute warning, and their two timeouts would have stopped the clock. So the only thing different would have been the Chiefs would have had no timeouts left with the 1:50 left.
  24. Possibly. However, Taylor as a play caller never had even a little bit of success until he got Burrow. So I’m not going to say that just after two good games. Even though these last two weeks have been really good for Taylor as a play caller. At this point I lean more towards that defenses just have not adapted yet to how Taylor is calling a game with Browning. With Burrow teams were always giving the Bengals the two safety high look. With Browning it looks like teams are trying different things to see what Browning can and can not do, which has allowed them to take some shots down field since not as many two safety high looks so far with Browning. I’m interested to see how things look now that teams will have a few weeks of film on how the bengals use Browning. With that said, I do think this will also help Burrow. Burrow is now getting to see that this team can have some success offensively going under center and mixing some different things in. So it may help expand his game, now getting to just sit back and watch currently.
