Congratulations to Douglass alum and Kentucky safety Ty Bryant has been named a First Team Academic All-American. 

I really like what I am seeing out of Will Stein and staff so far. They are getting recruits on campus that Kentucky has never had, and he brings a swagger and attitude that is contagious. I am not saying they are going to win the SEC, but I really think Kentucky finally has a coach that can take them to the next level and be more competitive in the SEC and nationally. Again, I am not getting too excited as he hasn't even coached a game yet, but you have to be excited with the early returns. 

What I like the most is that he is a young dude, full of energy, and is offensive minded. It is a big shift from the Stoops regime.

I got to go to the scrimmage today. My son, Trosper, is a student assistant @  UK.   Was fortunate to meet Coach Stein. Also, got to visit with Melvin Cunningham (Murray HS HFC), Pete Nochta (John's son) , Keith Towbridge (CAL assistant, now on UK staff) & Andrew Coverdale (former Trinity OC).

What stood out... energy, enthusiasm, and they are all on the same page. Very encouraging. 

Once the weather turns warm, to an old guy, it feels like game day is right around the corner!

I didn't pay that close attention. Spent most of the scrimmage talking to Coach Cunningham. 

Can’t be a good sign they’ve moved Martels Carter to RB can it? Signs as a high 4 star safety but could they not bring in sufficient RBs?

College teams always move players around during spring ball. Perfect example Travis Kelce was a QB before he got a shot at TE.

He played QB in HS but was recruited as a tight end. That’s different from you’re a four star safety being recruited as such, but now we are going to flip what side of the ball you’re playing on.

They do it all the time they get short handed with players some time.
