There IS a difference; The difference is that Trinity, DeSales, and Holy Cross folks don't make comments like this.

I am 99% sure that T lost to MBA, Cincy X, Seneca, & Manual in '03 then won the next 11 in a row to win state. I believe those first 4 losses were by a total of like 11 or 12 points.

Tigers will win. If they win big then T, H, & M had better take notice!

This early in the season I have to think this one is a toss-up. Go Rocks!

Should be a blowout, though H, T, & M would certainly like for it to be close.

I think 4 or 5 of those 6 will be there. And you would be hard pressed to find an HHS fan that thinks T is a "step or 2 behind Male and Scott Co.". Only time will tell.

Here's my thing: I want my kids to be safe also. But you know what? If I was really serious about it then they would not just wear a seatbelt when in a car - they would be strapped in like a NASCAR driver because that would be safer. And I would not live anywhere near a fault line - the kids would not be safe. I guess you would have to take them to the middle of Wyoming (in a bomb shelter of course to avoid tornadoes and small sized meteors). There is no 100% guarantee of anyones safety. SK had about a 1000x greater probability of their bus rolling off of I71 causing harm to the kids than they did from the purge prank. Living in fear all the time is no way to live. I think that is, at best, a questionable lesson to teach kids. (And the players/teenagers - in Louisville and NKY - all think the adults are idiots for this overreaction.)

I hereby declare a purge in NKY tomorrow morning! There... now you cannot play tomorrow either. Gotta make sure the kids are safe.

All of District 4 and Scott County.

T/X and M/H are no-brainers in general, but basketball plays second fiddle to football for these schools. However, over the past few years I cannot imagine a much more intense basketball game than those we've seen with T & Ballard. Located just a couple of miles from each other and often ranked #1 & #2 in the state. These recent match-ups have been crazy intense.

Bottom line is whether you love or hate T (or X) you should want to schedule them. They bring a good crowd (translated $$$) and a challenging brand of football. I can sooner see why the Cincy schools would give pause, but the top KY schools should be welcoming the challenge.

Almost any team can beat any other team in a given game. That said X wins this one 7 or 8 times out of 10. Here's hoping the Rocks beat the numbers and bring home the W!

Louisville schools could care less. H, X, & T really have no problem who they play in the playoffs; if they play each other it is just more $$$. Sounds to me like the NKY schools are trying to position themselves for the runner-up slot.

I don't think OHS had a single senior in their rotation, so I am thinking they are back next year BIG TIME.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say T faithful would rather win a boring game than lose an exciting one. In the second half T coach was already coaching for the next game.

i was there and I believe a few guys used their flash on their phones the first time OHS went to the line. An official had the P.A. guy make an announcement to stop , the T buys booed, but didn't do it again. Otherwise not a single inappropriate cheer. I honestly thought the T kids were top notch - easily the best student section in the AM session. You'd have to be a might big T hater to say their boys were "low class" today, either on or off the court.

Congrats to T!... Assuming there will be no school next Wed? (You can bet Owensboro will be taking the day off!). Also great job to those updating the thread late in the game.

Agreed. Easy to say that the really strong teams are the "problem", but realistically it is the really weak teams that necessitate the rule.

As a T fan I love the atmosphere that the HHS folks bring. Intelligent & polite - no negative chants or cheering an opponent injury. Clean play by both sides. I cannot imagine a better final tune-up for either team. I hope that they scrimmage again next year, with each program boasting 23 state championships :ylsuper:
