The thing that kills me is that he thinks he is speaking for all black people. My closest black friend thinks he is an idiot (or at least that's what he says to me).

And while I am not a Glaser fan by any means, he would have won state 2 years ago with Charles Walker in his system. Wolford (though he won the regular season game against T last year) has taken the program in an overall downward direction, IMHO.

I don't know what T's record is against SK but I do know that the cumulative scores from all games is somethingty-something to 0 in favor of T. X may be down this year but I'd bet a dollar to a donut that T is more fearful of the Tigers lining up against them than they are of facing off against SK.

X better hope that SK beats CAL by a bunch. T will be battling much bigger fish. Beating an X team that is down (in a scrimmage no less) is a far cry from taking on a powerhouse in BG in December. But deep down SK knows that.

As for the scrimmage, I went with a friend and what a great night for football! I thought the T pass defense got better as the game progressed; they were helped early by some HC dropped passes. Burns will make even more plays having moved to safety. No glaring holes at T - they just need to grow and get better week by week.

Ts numbers are fine. If kids that are dead set on using drugs decide to go to other schools (Catholic or otherwise) T is fine with that. What if a school had 300 kids go out for freshman football? You would have to have cuts. As long as you are 2-deep at all positions with some role players thrown into the mix you will be fine. Whomever is the 100th player on the depth chart (5th string CB?) is not going to have much of an impact on a team's chances at a state title.

Doesn't exactly further race relations, specifically the image of the black teen...

In all fairness the cop could have maybe (maybe) run around his car to avoid the man, but I think the criminal was swifter (even in his drunken state) than the officer. This was basically a suicide mission by that poor man. And I want to go on record as saying I felt bad for this man from the moment he came onto the screen. If he had kept walking I don't know that the officer would have continued after him (probably 80/20 that he would have). But the fact that I feel sorry for those on the margins of society does not mean that I excuse them for attacking an officer whose job it is to keep the rest of society safe. The thing that really bothers 2X (and others like him) about this incident is that it was caught on video. Intelligent people of color will realize that the officer was in the right here. Without the surveillance video the soapbox for attention would be bigger.

I haven't watched the video yet but I have been conditioned to believe that if it is A) white officer shooting white man = justifiable B) black officer shooting black man = justifiable C) black officer shooting white man = justifiable D) white officer shooting black man = racist
