How many games had running clocks tonight?

Featured Replies

We hear a lot of talk about the first round mismatches. Just how bad us it? I was at the Highlands vs Boyd County game and it was 36-0 with about 1:30 to go in the first quarter when the running clock began.

How many other running clocks were there tonight? Let us know if your game had a running clock.

39 games out of 94 played ended up with final margins of 36 points higher, so they had a running clock at some point. That's 41.49%. 60 games ended with margins of 25 or more, which is 63.83%. It's possible some of the 21 games that ended up between 25-35 were also running clocks.

NewCath/Trimble Co. in the 2nd quarter

In NKY 1A: Beechwood, Bellevue, Dayton (Loser) all did. Ludlow (loser) not sure.

I may feel dumb for asking this, but I thought there was no running clocks in the playoffs?

Running clocks at 36 points. South Warren started after first play of second quarter.

Any lower seed get a running clock on a higher seed besides T? Serious question.

How is this good for Kentucky Football again?

It's good for T because without first round games the Shamrocks would have been finished last week.

That's a good question. Would be interesting to find out.

That still doesn't explain why all the first round blowouts and running clocks are good for Kentucky football...Good job on trying to make this a T thing, though.

All three of the games involving Bardstown-area teams did, with Bethlehem and Bardstown on the winning side and Nelson Co. (a 4 seed) on the short end.
