if you knew nothing about the teams and saw them both warming up you would think they were evenly matched, but once the whistle blew it was easy to tell which team had put in more time preparing.

My son said T fell behind 2-0 early and then came back to win. That's all I know.

And I heard that one of their more recent uniforms (the black ones?) were a misprint for another team and T was able to get them dirt cheap. Not sure if that's true or not, but I heard it from a couple of folks.

I know a couple of kids on T's defense. They took it personal that Brentwood scored 13 points on them. I think LL will score, but will be held to less than 13. I also think T's running game will absolutely wear LL down all night long. Sprinkle in some opportunistic passing plays and T will tally 35+. My prediction: 45-7 Rocks.

Up year, down year, doesn't really matter. BG & X always have the type of team that can beat anyone on a given night.

As a former Purple I am always pulling for BG :-) This is the #1 game in the state this weekend IMO.

They may start 0-5, but they will win that 6th game.

A similar poll in Tennessee would probably have a 4-1 margin in favor of Brentwood.

This game is ESPN worthy. Possibly the 2 best teams in the entire 2-state area. I say the margin will be 10 points or less and whoever wins the special teams battle and turnover margin wins it. I don't see either team sustaining consecutive long drives on the other.

Ensworth was definitely down. That said, they may be the third toughest team on Ts schedule. #1 is next week. Gonna take an effort even better than tonight to leave Nashville 2-0.

This just in from the "Be Careful What You Wish For" department!: Yep.

And while I am not a Glaser fan by any means, he would have won state 2 years ago with Charles Walker in his system. Wolford (though he won the regular season game against T last year) has taken the program in an overall downward direction, IMHO.

I don't know what T's record is against SK but I do know that the cumulative scores from all games is somethingty-something to 0 in favor of T. X may be down this year but I'd bet a dollar to a donut that T is more fearful of the Tigers lining up against them than they are of facing off against SK.

X better hope that SK beats CAL by a bunch. T will be battling much bigger fish. Beating an X team that is down (in a scrimmage no less) is a far cry from taking on a powerhouse in BG in December. But deep down SK knows that.

So both teams are sporting a 0-0 record now?

As for the scrimmage, I went with a friend and what a great night for football! I thought the T pass defense got better as the game progressed; they were helped early by some HC dropped passes. Burns will make even more plays having moved to safety. No glaring holes at T - they just need to grow and get better week by week.

Ts numbers are fine. If kids that are dead set on using drugs decide to go to other schools (Catholic or otherwise) T is fine with that. What if a school had 300 kids go out for freshman football? You would have to have cuts. As long as you are 2-deep at all positions with some role players thrown into the mix you will be fine. Whomever is the 100th player on the depth chart (5th string CB?) is not going to have much of an impact on a team's chances at a state title.

T may not have the best QB, but they will have a system that makes him look awful good. And speaking on behalf of all T fans, SK is always "stoppable". On a very serious note I wish the QB at SK the very best next season.

I'm a T fan but I have to say straight up that I like the "X" with the cross in it. And isn't the Trinity "T" relatively new? In the 80s all I ever remember seeing was the shamrock with maybe "Rocks" written in it.
